  1. I concur. Surprised it took this long for it to be said. I am not one to knock other peoples style but....
  2. I'm going with Hawk HPS and Brembo cross-drilled rotors. Only have 30k on my truck but the top 25% of the front right pad completely broke off sometime in the past 15k miles and has eaten into that rotor substantially. Defect much?
  3. As 'shakesvho' said, it was a hell of a price lol I think they are going to a good home. Wasn't trying to drag anyone over the coals for them.
  4. Thank you, sir Hoping they go quick. They've been sitting in my kitchen for 2 months now because I've been too lazy to get on and post 'em
  5. SOLD!! As the title says, I'm selling the factory 20" chrome wheels off my '06. They have 25k miles on them. One has some minor rash on the outer lip thanks to a narrow drive through lane. 2 tires are at about 50% wear, the other two pretty much need replaced. Selling because I bought some 22s and I need to get these out of my kitchen :bowtie: Just want $600 for them. Prefer pickup in the MD / DC / VA / PA area. Will ship is buyer pays shipping. Off the truck... On the truck...
  6. So those of you that have had these for a while.. How are they fairing? Haven't ordered mine yet.. been busy moving and buying stuff for the new place.. Damn you priorities! DAMMMNN YOUUU!!! :-D
  7. One better, FX Capsules for $90 - pretty sure they would fit the 03+ Silvy housing http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/INFINITI-FX...152681491QQrdZ1
  8. The only way to do an HID upgrade legally, and the only one I personally condone, is an actual retrofit. Meaning you take the actual HID projector out of a car that came with facotry HIDs and retrofit that into your OEM housing. That completely eliminates the glare factor and gives you a much better beam pattern. Get E-Class Benz or TSX projectors fairly cheap on eBay then use whatever HID kit you want that will fit them. Good reading here: http://www.intellexual.net/hid.html#oemkit Hella makes a good capsule as well, which is what I'll be using. Rallylights has it in a kit with ballast and adjusters here: http://www.rallylights.com/hella/90mm_modules.asp Note you would need two of those, which is a little under $1000 - but at least it's done right and you have little no chance of blinding anyone or getting hassled by the cops. They also offer Bi-Xenons for a little more.
  9. Out of everything Edelbrock has recommended to various people thus far, the 33012/34010 combination makes the most sense to me. Betting they added that application because they've been receiving a lot of calls and emails from us Intarweb folks over the past month.
  10. Goes without saying, Family is the first to fark you. Even with proof of payment, it's your word against hers as to what those payments were for. She can say you owed her money and were paying her car note monthly instead of paying it back to her directly. Bottom line is the car legally belongs to her, end of story. As some said above, without something in writing she's probably screwed.
  11. Installaion instructions, with pics, for a 2005 cut-out main grill (same as your 2003) http://www.stylintrucks.com/images/Uploade...ns/42203CAR.pdf enjoy...
  12. Doesnt make sense that the 34023s would work correctly with a 4" drop 4x4. Reason being is that stock 4x4 shocks, in theroy, should be 4" taller anyway to account for the lift block. So by removing the 4" lift block you should be down to, roughly, standard height 2WD rear shocks. By using 2WD shocks made for a 4" drop, your shock is now, again in theory, 4" shorter than it should be. Unfortunatley I dont know the height of 2WD or 4WD OEM rear shocks to back this up.. but it makes sense in my head anyway.
  13. I've heards various reports to that affect also, but none first hand from someone who experienced it. No matter though, they carry a lifetime warranty =)
  14. I've never seen a flush lid that was water tight, all though they can be made to come fairly close. The GT Classic comes color matched, so if you go that route you don't have to worry about it. Personally I'd rather have my body shop spray it with PPG Global to ensure a match but.. what are ya gonna do? The wing and bed caps shouldn't be more than $100 - $150 to spray.
  15. I've been eyeing up those Street Scene smooth caps and wing as well. Spent a good bit of time yesterday digging up pictures of the setup and trying to determine if a flush mount would work with the wing. From what I can tell, shouldn't be an issue - the wing is pretty low profile at the point the lid should run out to.
  16. Damn.. when I first starting building performance cars back in '97 people wouldn't even consider trying to tune their own vehicles without knowing what the hell they were doing - and rightly so. Yet now days all I see in forums is people promoting this practice like it's no big deal. Tuning an ECU properly requires more than a how-to written by someone who does know what they are doing. Every engine is different, and geography comes into play as well. You need to know the impact of what every change you make is going to have and stay ahead of the curve to avoid causing serious damage to your engine. This requires, most importantly, knowing how to read log data - assuming you have a data logger which is also a requirement IMO. Not trying to be an ass here or call anyone out, just make sure you know what you’re getting into by attempting this yourself. If you do the research and really know what you’re getting into, tuning is fun and rewarding.
  17. Sounds like Edelbrock can't make up thier mind when reccomendeding thier products to consumers. All though I'm not surprised, this makes me not jolly. 33010s are for 2WD standard height 1500s. The rear suspension between any of the 1500s have very few differences that I'm aware of - all are leaf spring plus or minus a 2" block (for 4wd lift) In any case, they should have reccomended the 34023's for a 4" drop. You only have 3" drop but 3" is certainly closer to 4" than 0". Just goes to show us that these "tech" people are just reading off the application chart and have no real world experience. Forums to the rescue.
  18. I'd be surprised if it was heavier than a Gaylord lid, 24 gauge steel top and all.
  19. Indeed. Also, I'm sure it weighs a lot less than the Speedsturr, big plus there.
  20. Very nice. I have rollpan envy right now. Can't get mine until the tonneau is on so I have a place to stow the spare.
  21. Here we go, pic of the lid on a 03+ Black Silvy, would look much better without the plastic tailgate wing:
  22. Amen, brother. The original F&TF murdered the import scene all together, then there's this crap...
  23. This is too funny.. Landed where he belonged: http://www.11alive.com/news/article_news.aspx?storyid=99589
