  1. Disclaimer: No pigeons were killed in the making of this video.
  2. The stock program forces the engine to shut down @100 mph. This allows you to only dyno the truck in second gear which nets low numbers. When I was bone stock I put down 278rwhp/301rwtq. He's low in his estimate but not too far off.
  3. Not what I said. Anything's possible for the right price. $15,000.00 will get you into the 11's
  4. So wrong! By summer of '84 we were wearing Jams down to our knees at the beach. While you were watching re-runs of The Love boat; nice shorts, Gopher!
  5. If you want to run 11.3 you need a new motor, FI/NX, rebuilt tranny, drag slicks, rear end etc etc etc. To beat the Camaro just buy yourslef a 200 wet shot of nitous and start spraying til your eyes roll back and you see your brains melting... along with your motor
  6. Glad you're finally happy Good mention on positioning the muffs too.
  7. I can do either/both nights. New England Dyno:
  8. For 21G that's one sweet ass baseline truck!
  9. He's suggesting that you don't use LS6 heads because they would effectively raise your compression. When you add FI (forced induction) to your motor you can run more boost by using lower compression to start. The stock heads on your LQ9 are "317s"
  10. All I can say is I tried, and he has bids on the truck so oh-well. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> My uncle used to say, "You can lead the horse to water but you can't make it drink". You'd think that after so many inquiries this guy would accept the fact that it's wrong. I wonder what the other side looks like...
  11. I love watching your truck dusting that Mustang!
  12. plus there's no point in running a cam that's set to make power so high in the RPM range when you really need low-end torque
  13. Epping is a short haul down 11 to 107 to 101 if you wanna hook up at the drags. I'm off work too so, if anyone wants to hit the drags, let's be there right at 5 when they open the gates. We can make a few passes til it gets busy and still be in Manch-Vegas by 730ish. I'm not a "Hooters" kinda guy (Corvette clubs are always going there) but I'd be up for like Cactus Jack's or sumthin'. Merv, whatever works for you man, it's your thread. Actually, it's your forum, isn't it?
  14. Give her mail to your attorney and let him contact her on your behalf to make arrangements to deliver it. Make no effort to contact her personally.
  15. I hate her for you. She's a dumbass. Go find 100 chix who like you and feel good about yourself again.
  16. I'd be up for doing dinner and the drags. Just figure if we're hooking up on a Wednesday we may as well run the trucks. We'd do a dyno day at Dez Racing down in Seekonk in late June. There's some CT and RI guys who show up for those meets, too. One of those boys ran 13.2 in his N/A 5.3 RCSB yesterday. Just noticed BADFNZ has been tuned at Dez's shop too. Dunno where NEDyno moved to. I never went there but thought they used to be in Worcester. Anyway, Dez does all my custom work and have always treated me right so I'm gonna set it up with them.
  17. I can go. Sure you don't want go to Epping that night? We had a group rental at the drags today and talked to Don (aka Slowhawk) about setting up a Saturday dyno day too. If you're up for that later in the month.
  18. That's great, congrats! There was 5 of us there all day today, sux we missed you. Was too damn hot all day.
  19. Raising kids isn't all that tough. Just roll with it and you'll find it's all what you make of it and they love you no matter what. Don't marry the girl! Don't do it! You two are way too young and if it's truly "meant to be", you'll marry eventually. Just be a stand up guy and do all you can to provide for mother and child. Keep your truck. You're already living with this girl so you know what your expenses are. Let the parents buy the crib and changing table. Raising kids isn't all that expensive and it gets easier as they get older. .02
  20. I was half listening to the guy when he was talking about the planetaries. I've never been really 'up' on transmissions but I ask everyone about this 4L70 just cuz I've never heard/read a straight answer as to WTF it has in it. Zippy, if you're asking me about towing, not me. The test I'm interested in is to see how long a 4L70 lasts for someone with a blower. That's were the others all seem to fail miserably.
  21. I was told at the drags the other day that the 4L70E also has "5 bolt planetaries", "input shaft sensor" (which not all do) and a "heavy duty torque converter". When I bought the truck I was told that it also had a different TC.
  22. OK but I'll ship you this one, for $250.00 PayPal, to your door in Iowa.
