  1. I think doing away with the gold bowtie altogether is the best option. A chrome or polished bowtie looks the best IMO. As I am sure many others will agree.
  2. The Camaro is a definite GO for 2009!!!
  3. I love the 40 Sound I was looking at doing a similar setup on my '06 SSS. You say it's not too loud in the cab?? Even with the exhaust exiting in front of the passenger rear tire?? I want to make sure it's not too loud with a baby on the way!! But Looks Awesome Either Way!! Got any sound clips?? Jay
  4. Well the name is deceiving i guess. If you go to the Flowmaster site they are a bit quieter than the 40's but still quite a bit louder than the 50's. I am looking at the Magnaflow Race Pipes also. I am planning L/T Headers and High Flow Cats. Just don't want a ton of interior noise. I don't mind some but there are limits. Thanks for all the help (jokes) so far. Jay
  5. I'm New.....I don't know what to do!!!
  6. I just bought my '06 SS....They are running $5500 in rebates right now. Not to mention that Chevrolet is struggling with sales. I got my $38,800 SS for near invoice (roughly 34,500). If you subtract the $5500 in rebates you are at $29,000. So IMO, I wouldn't even think of spending $27,000 - $28,000 for one with 21,000 miles. That is super high for an '06. Jay
  7. I am pretty partial to the 40's as well. I don't like the sound of the Corsa's at all IMO.....I am just nervous about how loud it will be w/ L/T Headers. I have my first baby on the way and am a little hesitant with the thought of the interior resonance. I have some time to think about it I guess!! Jay
  8. Well they sound good on the Flowmaster website.....but who knows what the hell they are installed on. I had a 3 in / dual 2.5 out 40 series on my 5.3 Silverado and it sounded good. I don't know if I should go 2 Mufflers, or if I should do the dual In/Out that I read about here on the site. Jay
  9. Has anyone heard anything about these mufflers. Good or Bad?? I am looking at doing a dual exhaust system on my new SS and need some advice. They claim they are for Sport Trucks but would like some insight if anybody has any. Thanks!! Flowmaster Hushpower II Jay
  10. I just traded in my '04 RC 5.3L for the new SS. I was never a big fan of the AWD and now that they are making them in RWD just had to bite. I am currently deployed and will not even be able to drive me new truck for a few more months. This really sucks!! I have a few ideas on what I am going to do first. Thanks to some of the direction on this site I will hopefully do it right the first time. Here are my ideas for when I first get home!! Outlaw CAI Intake w/ Volant Ram Air Scoop Pacesetter L/T Headers Custom Dual Exhaust w/H or X Pipe (Flowmaster Hushpower II....Not sure??) ECU Upgrade Any suggestions on Mufflers? Haven't really found any opinions on the Hushpower from Flowmaster. They say they are designed for Sport Trucks?? I am extremely excited to get started. Any Ideas would be appreciated. Jay
