  1. Alright guys, don't fool around with pin magnets or dowel rods, they are not necessary in most cases. Just spin the cam over and let the trays hold them up. You can even stick a pushrod back in and test to see the holding power of each lifer. Obviously your stock cam MUST be in place for this test. Everyone of my lifters needed 5lbs of force to push them back down to the cam lobe surface. Truck is back together now, tuning tomorrow.
  2. Well having difficulty getting stock can out. Pin magnets don't work worth a ****. Going to try and turn old pushrods into magnets instead. This is a bitch.
  3. Nortech 392. Quad 300s. We went 168 miles offshore that day. Put 450 total miles on the boat chasing yellowfin.
  4. Comp 226/230 .598/.600 114lsa. Not sure which lobes I got though. The numbers don't work out for a XER lobe. Doesn't say on the box. It was a custom grind for me.
  5. They come on with AC pressure too. Any tuner worth a hoot can get your fans operating correctly.
  6. Installing bump stick tomorrow morning! Wish me look guys.
  7. I have one, I'm in Huntsville, AL. It's new.
  8. Badasser n hell man! I know I'd throw heavy duty bumpers on it!
  9. For all out performance, the LB7s are the best, easiest to tune. ECM isn't overly complicated.
  10. Injectors are only difficult on LB7s. But even then they aren't hard. Head problems? Never heard that one before. I like my LMM the best of all the ones I've had.
  11. I can tell ya a thing or two about dmaxs.
  12. I do my own tuning. EFI Live. Still learning this gas stuff.
  13. The DMAX cut a 1.4 60 foot time on its fastest pass. Usually leave at 20psi. But I'm removing some horsepower this time, can't afford a trans rebuild every year. I don't have any videos, cause truck has been down for two years, injectors, head gaskets, trans lol. I thought about parting it out for a awhile, but man I have had some good times in that truck. 14. Yeah, your truck runs great, you sent me a video on it a while back. But it's like you say, we need a lot of converter to get these pigs moving. I am thinking about adding a FAST intake as well, but I heard idle tuning can be a pita with that intake.
  15. Humm, mine runs 8.70s right now. I think your stall is holding you back. I'm running a 3200 right now and it's actually a little looser than that. I got good air here too.
  16. I'd be super happy to squeez out a 7.90 in the 1/8th. Maybe a pipe dream with my mods.
  17. What does your truck run JC? Our cams are real similar. Main difference is I'm gonna have 3800 245mm converter.
  18. Yes times are most important. I know one thing, this truck is a turd compared to my other one. The DMAX has broken many hearts lol, cause on the outside it's bone stock looking, except you can see the trac bars and for those with real sharp eyes, the turning radius is huge cause of the heavy duty center link.
  19. Yeah tuned right, 41lb injectors too. I'm at sea level.
  20. CAI, Efans, 1-7/8 LTs, 3200 stall, and tuned. Anybody got any guesses as to the RWHP by adding this cam? Track times?
