  1. Was it tuned for the correct stall though?? If that has changed it can cause problem locking and unlocking. I mean one tune doesn't fit all here.
  2. Hey guys my trans has been running around with a 3200 stall for a few months and now a healthy cam. It still shifts fine and seems to be in okay condition. My question is would it be wise to install a transgo and servos now. Or just wait till it shits the bed and order my FLT 5.
  3. Had your mind on the good stuff bro!!
  4. I'm leaning more towards tuning. A higher stall converter needs retuning. Minimum duty cycle on converter needs to be upped. My trans did the exact thing when I put my 3200 stall in. Could still be a problem with TCC though.
  5. Dude, 2k isn't gonna buy a Maggie. And 3200 isn't too high, upper limit yes, too high no. He said he's doing the work himself. I'm telling the guy how to get the most performance for the least coin. His budget is enough for everything I mentioned, so long as he does the wrenching. I'm not going to argue with you any more. But the stock converter sucks. Tune + bolt ons is still slow as hell. He knows what direction he is ultimately going, so he will be able to decide what stall range to look at. 3200 was merely a suggestion. No carriage before the horse here.
  6. No doubt^ the op has been given sound advice. He will have to weigh out the options for himself though.
  7. 3200 is a good all around stall. A good converter WILL pick his performance up more than any other mod he has listed. Bang for the buck wise, you can't beat a good converter upgrade. I ran my truck with a 3200 stall with the stock cam and it was an absolute blast to drive. I don't know where all this nonsense about having to have a big cam before doing a converter upgrade started, but it needs to stop.
  8. Jason, does your cam have any advance ground in? I have been watching the video you sent me, and your 0-60 is about 3 tenths faster. And in my video, you can clearly see my truck pulls very hard up top. My cam is straight up, no advance.
  9. I'm going with TFS 225 CNC ported. Prolly the best head on the market for these trucks.
  10. I love the way those open. I have DMH and they leak when closed drives me crazy.
  11. Run a CNC machine shop. Lathe, multi axis mills, robot welding, EDM, millturn, grinding. I do a lot of the programming.
  12. A high stall converter lets the engine get to it's power band faster. A 3200 stall will give you more performance gains than any of the other mods you have listed.
  13. Not really. It's my company, looks like a lot on paper but I really don't make that much. Money goes out the door for everything to keep a business going. I'd rather owe than get a return though. I don't want them bitches holding my money. I'd rather hold "theirs".
  14. 70 here this past weekend. Washed the SS and worked on my tan a little lol.
  15. Converter, long tubes, exhaust, cold air intake, servo, tune. You'll be pushing 2k but it will be a nice wake up for the truck.
  16. Thanks! Yeah trans is next. I'm feeling bold now, may try my hand at building this 60e. Gulp
  17. Ahhhh my brain is in a fog today.... Will a mod please move this to the proper forum.
