  1. I will second this, I have 1 7/8 ARH on my bolt on only truck, with the cutouts open I notice a drop in low end tq. I still have the factory muffler though, so when the cutouts are CLOSED it runs out quite well and has plenty of low end power.
  2. My AFR's were not run of the mill, I called them up directly, they answered the phone (the first time) I told them want I needed, and they shipped the custom heads one week later. And you're right, these motors aren't comparable to LS motors, there are reasons why LS motors don't work in offshore powerboats. Bottom line is, I think the two heads are very comparable. Who knows I might even end up with a set of TFS heads on this truck.
  3. I haven't seen that. Every article has AFR and TFS roughly the same. With the exception of one article and the TFS heads were HEAVILY worked over, ie not what your going to get if you are joe blow. It's been my experience in the Performance boat world, that AFR is easier to get a hold of as well. My 35 fountain lightening has twin Merc racing 540 bulldogs with AFR heads and whipple quad rotor superchargers. Each motor makes 1040 hp at 4.5#s of boost. Boat runs in the 130s.
  4. I wouldn't want hollow stem valves. Just me though. I'm going to run boost, and likely going with AFR heads.
  5. A good stall and trans mods will eat up about 1500, if you do the work yourself. Cam swap will set you back around 1000, again if you do the work, and don't have any unforeseen problems. Basically, I would do full bolt ons first, then trans work, then camshaft, and finally heads. Who knows, you may be perfectly happy with bolt ons and trans mods. I'm on my iPhone so I can't see your sig (mods you have now). Waid
  6. It will take some getting used to. Part throttle driving is around 2500 rpms now. It is different. Mine is not tight at all from idle, but I asked Chris to set it up loose. It hits hard though right at 3200-3300.
  7. 400 at the crank. Not really sure, hate to guess. Roads were wet, that's why I could spin the tires pretty well.
  8. It made an impressive difference. Roads were a little wet yesterday, and doing AWD burnouts was pretty fun. It won't light the tires like my Duramax, but it does alright. I had to shim my converter to .125" of end play.
  9. Bro, you have it backwards man, you are seeking a women(and letting it be known big time) you have to make them seek YOU. Sure it's up to you to get the ball rolling, but you have to play the game man. I know it sounds crazy, but you got to make them work for your attention. Once you change your out look on women, they will be after you.
  10. Shadowsniper, what heads do you recommend for boost?
  11. Bought injectors from "the asset". I can't find any data on them, getting ready to install and tune. Thanks, Waid
  12. You said it has 3k miles in your first post and on other websites. Then you say make offers, but laugh at any below 300?!? You're the funny guy here. Buyer beware.
  13. Haha ok dude, I'd tell you to pound sand, but you already are!!! Hahaha. Keep your overpriced junk, you don't even have the cam card? You never ran the cam, we are supposed to take your word for it, that's it's good? Nah Ill pay the 400 for a real brand damn new cam.
  14. Yeah I know. Price is way to high.
  15. Take the 1000 and give her a dollar everytime you get laid, you'll still have most of that money when you die.
  16. I paid 14K for mine. 2003 black 40,000 miles. Still had the new car smell.
