  1. nice choice in tire, i got the same ones last year.. never let me down in any condition heres some pics of mine i took last year... (btw they are for sale in case anyone is interseted) sorry about the shameless plug..
  2. i never heard that one before G1!
  3. tonnea cover is sold... wheels and tires are still available and open to any reasonable offers...
  4. you lost mileage i don't think this is an answer we're going to figure out witout a wind tunnel... so unless you have one or access to one ( cause i know i dont) i think this is one of those things that, (to qoute the tootsie pop owl) "the world may never know"
  5. hey steve, i was just remembering that back in 05 (or was it 06?) gm claimed a 1-mpg improvment on the silverados with just some cpu tweaks and an added wind deflector/chin spoiler under the front bumper's lower valance?.. and that little chin spoiler is only about an inch maybe inch and a half.. so i'm sure gm tested these things in a wind tunnel before they made it to prodution, otherwise it would be a waste of money to manufacture them, imo. so what i'm saying is maybe he did gain a little combined with other factors... i would guess 0.5-1.0 mpg.
  6. hey mike, on the trip to and from was there an altitude change?.. basicaly did you have to travel more up hill going and more down hill coming back?.
  7. congrats on the win!... you defintley have one sweet looking ride!
  8. WOW!.. that's definetly a bad azz maneuver Dave. do you think doing that in a truck would tip it over? also i'm a huge superhero fan obviously, and i can't wait for batman to come out.. it's definetley going to be intersting knowing that some of the huge stunts are real, looks like a great movie to begin with. from what i can tell in the trailers, it seems heath ledgers portrail of the joker may be the best ever!.
  9. yeah a guy on pt.net wanted it to but he's in TX.. i guess i just gotta sit on it until someone from around here wants it.
  10. i've got a deposit on the exhaust kit from sstruck1, i will hold it for him until friday. so anyone else who is interested can check back then to see if it is sold or not.
  11. hey guys, am i asking to much for these or is just no one in so-cal interested?... i thought my prices are realy fair and i did post or best offer?... although i ain't going to give'em away, so please don't low ball me. 200 views and not a single question or reply is just kinda suspicious to me?
  12. i have a left over corsa exhaust from last year when i was selling these kits.. it's a full pipe kit + corsa dual tip and hardware all NIB. i don't have the matching muffler, but you can use this kit and put any 3"in/out muffler to complete it, so it gives you the quality of corsa with whatever sound you want. and i'm only asking $225 shipped or $200 local pick up in victorville ca. SOLD!........... also i have a street scenes roll pan part# 950-70121 with center mounted license plate, it's made of urethane. it's NIB comes with all the hardware. i never used it cause i traded my stock bumper for a roll pan that was already painted to match my truck. i only want $85 shipped or $65 local pick up. this is a great deal it retails for $180-$220. SOLD.......
  13. i watched that clip and paused it right before the cab got crushed.. looked to me like the guy was still siting up, unless the guy has superhuman speed i doubt he could've made it to the floor or even laid down fast enough?... if that guy and his kid are alive, then i say it was a miracle.
  14. thanks everyone i realy appreciate it i'm still debating on what i'm doing tonight.. it'll probably involve hold'em and more then likely and don't worry guys whatever i do i'll have a DD. happy b-day to cadillacbob. and MR.P happy B-day to your daughter as well
  15. i realize that it looks like pure crap, but it's a successful experiment guy's.. and thats what the point was. i'm sure if they were going to market it, they would have made it cleaner and probably molded it out of abs or fiberglass, shit you could make it out of CF if you wanted to get realy ricey i mean look at what gm did with there tahoe/yukon hybrid's.. it was'nt just the hybrid electric system that increased it's economy, it was also due to a lower weight aluminum hood (also lower profile for less drag) and tailgate, light weight alloy wheels with low drag tires, and some other aerodynamic improvements.. the idea is the same except for the hybrid part. there was a chrysler product in the mid 70's after the oil crisis that had some similar idea's so this is nothing new.. it was called the "feather duster" for obvious reasons. it had an aluminum hood and deck, slant 6 with a 4spd manual overdrive, and some other stuff to reduce weight that slips my mind now, but it was capable of 30+ mpg. come to think of it i guess chrysler was always thinking outside the box, they were obviously ahead of the game on aerodynamics with there superbirds and daytona's being the first cars ever tested in a wind tunnel.
