Do you recommend the transgo HD2 kit?
Yeah I think lots of guys use, and are happy with that one. My 4l80 was built by a guy who did the dual feed mod and his own "concoction" of parts that he likes to use, so i can't say first hand. Like him ^^^ I didn't go for the thermal bypass but then again, I live in Texas and don't see much freezing temps at all.

You will definitely want some type of shift kit. It's more about longevity and not letting the clutch packs drag. You don't have to crank line pressure way up but I would def do a shift reprogramming kit.

Very clean truck! I bet it isn't around long.

Awesome! What set up did you go with? I'm about to buy the Stud Top kit, the DS 401 shocks, with 10 inch Eibach Springs at 800lbs.
I think I went with ds301 or ds302 shocks and 7b1300 Hyperco Springs. I didn't go for the top stud just bc so many people have had problems with it (might have been sorted out by now.) I actually think I'm about to sell my truck and I'll be selling my whole kit. I spoke with Richard and we set it up for a 3" drop.

I bought everything to do the conversion but haven't installed it yet. Everything I read is good on the conversion though.

I think mid/late 04 was the change over for half tons. I was digging in an 06 HD ext cab yesterday and it still had the dash switch.
Might be something to do with it being a HD and having the single stage SRS instead of the half tons having dual stage... just a guess lol.

What changes were made when it started?

Have you checked pinion angles, or possibly backlash on the gears?
-
Probably need to replace the oil level sensor. They're cheap.

Great info, thank you all, im not selling, to much time and money invested
Nah, I was joking. I would for sure install a couple of kill switches. At least put one on the fuel pump. They would have to tow it away and slow them down for a bit at least.

Best way to keep your SSS from getting stolen in California or south Texas would be to sell it lol. In the end you'll walk away with more cash then insurance is going to pay lol.

Looks good! Let me know if you wanna buy a blower or a front and rear big brake kit for it LOL.

Think I saw these on DFW craigslist...

Nice collection you got there!
-
Looks badass man! Let me know own when you need some intros and narrowed differential lol.
-
Trucks looking good man! Too bad I wasn't ready to sell when you were looking...I think I'm about to move on to a CTS-V.
-
Probably a high dollar built motor that the dealership owner or someone up there wanted lol.
-
You need some intros, lol.

I think they are a bit gaudy, but I would want them on my truck if it were an ISS. They don't look terrible and they do set it apart. That bed looks slick!

There is a guy on Craigslist parting a SSS in North Hollywood.

Probably just need a new caliper on that side. The pads are rotors are gonna be toast too on that side.

Smoking deal on the headers and a good seller. Exact set up I have and I love it.

^^ second that. Go ahead and replace the heater pad while you're in there as well imo.
