  1. Just use PIAA's extreme white's (3157's). That's what I use, and they haven't burnt out in almost two years. They will lose some color over time, but they last along time. And they are the closest you can get to HID running lights. Nothing else compairs!! Not even LED's. Here's a pic. The lights in the pic are about 1 year old, so they have lost just alittle of the blue. Brand new ones look kick a$$.

those look great. i really hate being able to see the blue though whenever they arent on.

  2. I like the look of LED tails, I put a set on my truck, my problems were the cruise control stop working and on-star was calling me to say my rear lights were not working(all the rear lights worked fine) so I went over to the dealer and found out the computer checks the voltage that comes from the lights, led lights have a low voltage return so the computer thinks you have a problem and turns off the cruise control (05 model), but over all they worked fine.

wow, that sucks. i hope his don't have the resistors because i am not willing to give stuff up to change them to LED.....

  3. well i have them , i tried to install them but i popped so many fuses i ran out so i couldnt finish seeing if they works. then my trans took a shit so i cant try them because i dont have the truck now for the next week.

i got the black one and im going to candy them red first then smoke them. i think smoke comes out better when you have a red back to do it on.

that sucks, i was anxious to see them lol. why were they popping fuses.

  4. Hey Buddy this is really simple you don't even have to get under the truck. Just reach up under the bumber, grab the light holder and give it a turn until it comes out.

tried that. the harness for the bulb goes through a hole in the steel part of the bumper that is only about an inch wide x an inch tall, and its about 2 inches deep in there. i dont have fat fingers but i still cant reach it lol.

  5. i install hids on every car i get because i hate the dingy look of halogen. i have never until n ow put in LED lights to somewhat match. i ordered bulbs for the damn near entire truck and i was wondering, how do you take the license plate bulbs out? i have tried but i feel like im gonna break the casing for them. they wont just pop out with a small screw driver. im hoping i dont have to take the cover off to do so. am i not trying hard enough/ lol. i will post before and after pics when im done.

  6. Stock housing and be careful with aftermarket assemblies because when I was looking for different headlights some say not HID compatible what ever that means.

thats because the length of the HID bulb is a little longer than a factory bulb and wont fit in there behind the projector lense.

they work great in factory housings. there is a little glare, but there isnt a car on the road with HIDs that does not have a little glare.

  7. *EDIT* Sorry the kit is a 9006 for a silverado low beam. i was thinking about the set i put in the mustang.

i am selling an unused HID kit for 9006. Includes everything you need. takes about 45 to install and hide the ballasts for those who havent done this before. very simple, straight forward install with no cutting or splicing. all plug and play, does include instruction. i believe they are 6000k. same as i have on my truck and they look amazing. kit has a FULL LIFETIME WARRANTY. i just dont need this kit any more. i will take $240 shipped to your door. i have used about 5 of these kits and love them.
