  1. Gotta love intro wheels with a narrowed diff! Seeing as how you fore went any stock or replica wheel for a custom billet wheels, I don't think you would be happy cutting a corner with fiberglass cladding. In general fiberglass is junk as body parts. Especially some garage made replica claddings. Just my opinion, but you can pick up a full set of cladding and bumper covers for 1500 or less. The only thing that needs to be modified, is the rocker moldings shortened, and the cab corners length and about an inch.
  2. Forgot to add that if you have, and want to keep, redundant radio controls on the steering wheel you'll need a harness for that and also one for on star I believe if you want to maintain that.
  3. There you go! Only reason I didn't go T/A was because summit doesn't sell it and I order the tru trac, gears, install kit and all the bearings and arp at one time. Didn't wanna dick with separate orders....plus my axles are moser...gotta represent lol
  4. Yes it will, and like Aldo recommended, I would use this as an opportunity to upgrade speakers too. Paper bose speakers aren't gonna be the same with that head unit and you'll want to get the full benefit. I with with mid line polk based on their rating and man what a difference!
  5. Yeah man! I think most all the girdles are made by the same company including the T/A. With that and the diff you already have, you should have a stout enough rear end without adding the extra 80 lbs that a 14 bolt weighs.
  6. Either would work fine, obviously the 408 could move more air a better utilize the 2300...most people decide on motor and then choose the induction that suits it best lol. If it were me, I would build a 408. Thats exactly what I'm gonna do if my LS6 ever bites the dust.
  7. Same here. I like the morimoto sets too. I'm actually about to do a d2s projector retrofit in my silverado headlights.
  8. I am using the moser girdle. It adds a little extra capacity and along with my arp studs for the caps, it should hold that differential pretty solid. It is a stout piece.
  9. Well these 10 bolts are junk imo. If it were me, I would get it over and install a tru trac, differential girdle and new bearings. That would be a stout enough diff for any future mods you plan to do. The low level, thin, burnt fluid is definitely not a good sign. Also you don't need any lsd additive since your truck should be gov lock and not limited slip.
  10. Yeah I see them all the time for like 2000. Shits gets old, you see a nice truck and click the ad and realize they are only asking 2k so it has to be a scam lol.

    passlock

Lol same here. I was wondering WTF, but good news for you, all is well! That is just a notification that passlock is enabled, and you should have a nice warm fuzzy feeling that your truck is safe (yeah right GM)

    passlock

Are you saying that when you lock the truck with the remote, the passlock icon turns on in the cluster for about 10 seconds? If so that is completely normal.
  13. JYD! Don't know how I remembered that, but it just popped in my head lol.
  14. Never seen it either. Why not just make one, if your bumper is sagging?
  15. The only other way to do this is to find the first set of caliper brackets that were made. Forget the guys name now but he sold them to be used with the 14" rotor that powerstop sells.
  16. I agree ^^^. I would use a quality rear disc kit. It would all be bolt on and is fairly straight forward. Just use high quality performance calipers and rotors.
  17. That sucks man. Truck was a beast. That trans fluid spraying out is a bummer, that shit will burn up quick.
  18. Nice truck! That thing is basically a Denali without the grille and emblems, but that deal is worth overlooking them for sure.
  19. The hardware is just a few screws and mostly rivets.
  20. Judging by your avatar, looks like you need black. Here is a brand new OEM black one for $40 shipped: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Factory-OEM-Front-Bumper-License-Plate-Chevy-Silverado-SS-Black-15197890-/131584781282?hash=item1ea3106be2:g:EN0AAOSwgQ9V1hos&vxp=mtr You're welcone!
  21. No. Your transmission adaptive pressure and settings probably got reset. Drive the truck how you drive it, put some cycles and miles on it to relearn.
  22. I actually considered this at the beginning of my build. Weight is still the issue. These full size trucks are just too heavy in any configuration to run a 6 speed and have any decent amount of power.....I do have a syclone I would probably sell though. The weight of it would probably be fine with a stick. The tough part would be having a transfer case adapter custom machined to mate to the transmission though.
  23. No, you'll be fine. You can get the one with thermal bypass if it makes you feel better, but I don't think you need it. I'm in North texas and haven't had a problem with my 40k.
