Couple Pics From This Past Weekend
rivierakid55 replied to 2006SilverSS's topic in Video & Photography
good looking pics daryl. where were those taken at? -
I havent changed anything but for what its worth i get a 20 percent discount on my insurance by having more than one car on the same policy so that its actually cheaper to own a beater than not as far as insurance is concerned. pretty sure most insurance companies give multiple car discounts as well.

that was good.

new escalades do. pretty sure those are them.

For me being one who has a 2wd and 4.56 gears I would wait on gears until you determine your future setup. If your gonna go with a centrifugal style blower and a big converter, shorter gears would work well. otherhand, with a roots type blower you wont want that extra gear with the lowend torque its going to give you. i somewhat disagree with Dan as far as the numbers. we have very similar setups and my 60 ft is worse than his even with drag radials but i trap even higher at almost 99 mph because im much higher in the powerband crossing the traps. for what its worth my future plans of a big cam and possibly an 80E with a long first gear were part of the reasoning i went with 4.56's instead of 4.10's. But for all around performance gain a set of 4.10;s would probably be the way to go.

What Is A Reasonable Price For A Cam Install
rivierakid55 replied to JBLOOM33's topic in Engine Tech And Modification
just for reference, synergy in fremont which many of you have heard of quoted my friend $2,500.00 for cam/springs/pushrods/retainers/labor/tune. -
for me by doing the keys allowed me to set my camber up a lot better. before just turning the keys over an inch my camber was always off. had it aligned numerous times. after doing the keys i was able to rid myself of this issue and have been much happier ever since.

Is A Tune Worth The Money This Early
rivierakid55 replied to JBLOOM33's topic in Bolt On Performance
i think a tune is definately worth it but I'd beef up the tranny first. Summer's coming, throw a bigger trans cooler, maybe shift kit/servos, colder thermostat and then tune. jmo. -
sorry for the late reply as well. let me know if you need anymore information....i would add if your gonna get 2 inch spindles then lower the front more invest in set of keys. ive been much happier since doing this then before with just turned keys.

best - converter/shift kit worst - falken tires...thank god they're almost done.

yank ss3600 would be a good choice for that cam imo.
