ls6 would work nicely with that cam.

id agree with mr. p. keys are a far better way to go. i lowered mine roughly an inch in the front just turning the factory keys and it didnt turn out near as nice as just buying the ground force drop keys.
-
since your only racing your truck id run that cam in a heartbeat with a better flowig intake and like a 3600 stall converter.
-
just bought my morning 7-eleven coffee today. coffee prices went up ten cents. i asked the store guy why and he says its due to the cost of fuel.
-
depending on how much install your going to be doing you could throw a cam swap in for under 3k as well.

shift kit/servos/long tubes/converter/custom tune/maybe 4.10's.

2/3 is going to be more like 3/4. heres mine next to daryl's at stock height for reference.
-
youll probably need a c notch. your drop leafs are more like 4inches of drop then add 2 for the shackles gets you six....maybe 5 with the pan but it would be real close.
-
congratulations! love the garage.

somewhere north of 3k rpm. what is tyler using in his truck?
-
rollpan looks good on that truck.
-
you might look into the one that another fellow posted up about recently in his silver birch ss. the reverse pattern cam's apparently work nicely with the stock truck intakes.

30 inch dr's here with 4.56's and im trapping about 5300 rpms with my converter locked. -
i forget the specs offhand but it was something similar a ms4 cam....it was a 23?/24? something cam i believe. and it did move the powerband a lot higher but that was on a carbed application as well without the benfits of computer tuning.
-
ive heard this cam in dirt track racers truck on pt.net and its pretty nasty....wait till he gets a converter in and it will really rip.
-
its completely beilievable to me. in car craft a couple months back there was an article on a 5.3 truck motor picking up almost 100 hp just from a cam swap.
