  1. I used to go to the gym everyday after work, which is about a 15 mile round trip so I stopped that and just use my crappy home weights. I barely leave the island I live on except for weekends and my trip to work is only like 2 miles so I dont use much gas anymore. The truck is the only vehicle I have and I cant afford insurance for another car or Id buy a beater. I might get a motorcycle if I can find a cheap one thats not too embarassing to ride around. I really want to fix all the air leaks in my house but Im renting now and I dotn want to waste a bunch of money fixing it up

I havent changed anything but for what its worth i get a 20 percent discount on my insurance by having more than one car on the same policy so that its actually cheaper to own a beater than not as far as insurance is concerned. pretty sure most insurance companies give multiple car discounts as well.

  2. For me being one who has a 2wd and 4.56 gears I would wait on gears until you determine your future setup. If your gonna go with a centrifugal style blower and a big converter, shorter gears would work well. otherhand, with a roots type blower you wont want that extra gear with the lowend torque its going to give you.

i somewhat disagree with Dan as far as the numbers. we have very similar setups and my 60 ft is worse than his even with drag radials but i trap even higher at almost 99 mph because im much higher in the powerband crossing the traps.

for what its worth my future plans of a big cam and possibly an 80E with a long first gear were part of the reasoning i went with 4.56's instead of 4.10's. But for all around performance gain a set of 4.10;s would probably be the way to go.

  3. can you explain how its better? I'm just curious and I don't really understand how the keys work.. I was always under the impression that the keys just allowed you to drop the front more than just turning the bolts, but ride quality was still the same? Of course i may be wrong though. I too was thinking about adding keys but Eric at belltech told me that if your just looking for another inch or so, the stock keys are sufficient enough for that. Plus you'll still stay within alignment specs with drop or stock keys.

for me by doing the keys allowed me to set my camber up a lot better. before just turning the keys over an inch my camber was always off. had it aligned numerous times. after doing the keys i was able to rid myself of this issue and have been much happier ever since.

  4. sorry for the late reply as well. let me know if you need anymore information....i would add if your gonna get 2 inch spindles then lower the front more invest in set of keys. ive been much happier since doing this then before with just turned keys.
