  1. "objects in mirror appear to be Fords" that would be cool
  2. another factor to consider is eye strain. 4300-6000k will cause the least. Going higher will fatigue some peoples eyes.
  3. Im stuck at work, so seeing those pics and vids made my day. Nothing like a cam install party
  4. eh. shes a little trashy for me. looks like she stepped right out of a trailer park.
  5. Id drive that thing everyday :]
  6. yeah, id take it if someone gave it to me very nice ride
  7. Man that combo is gonna look sick. you gotta post pics when you get it all squared away
  8. idk, talk about strange bed fellows. Thats a little to close to the enemys camp for me.
  9. cool. I was worried about components gettinge eaten up over time. Thanks for the info zippy
  10. another thing that makes an SS, an SS. Pride in ownership. If your like me, and I know a good portion of you are, you bleed chevy orange. In 03, when the SSS came out and I saw one at the orange county internation auto show at my work in Anaheim, I knew then and there that I had to have one. I already had a 72 camaro, but the SSS just called out to me. 3 years later, I was at the dealer getting handed the keys to my new 06. This trucks kick ass, haul ass, and do it in style. an SS is a peice of a traditon of performance and style that others often attempt to copy. and often fail.
  11. with the gov wanting to mandate atleast 15 percent of this stuff at the pump *and often some places have more* what kinda of damage could this do to our trucks. I think I recall seeing the GM advised against anything more than 10 %. I know the higher the percentage the more corrosive it will get. Thoughts?
  12. He meens that our trucks dont exactly stop on a dime. So anything done to improve that is paramount. the 15 inch upgrade being the most worth while upgrade to bring our trucks to a halt in a timely manner
  13. If you want proper, funtional projector headlights, go here click They will retro fit OEM projectors into the housing. If you really want projectors done right, go that route. Most after market projectors are junk and dont work that well, even with an HID kit. With lighting, as with our trucks in general, you get what you pay for
  14. picked my copy up at walmart. they had them inline at the check out. I got a huge grin on my face when I looked over and saw it on the rack. All I have to say is Dave builds on clean a$$ truck, Major props man.
  15. I agree. and the few ford drag cars that consistantly win, atleast that I have seen, have chevy motots and trans. as the old saying goes, "Built ford tuff with Chevy stuff"
  16. make sure you post pics and a vid once you install
  17. I would agree with Art. To me it seems like the 3:73's just chug the motor along around town. dsnt seem the best thing for mileage
  18. good headers. Tri Y's are geared more twards low end TQ. they usually top out around 4500 rpm. Make sure you use factory manifold gaskets and not the ones supplied with the headers. OEM exhaust gaskets will not leak, others will
  19. I put RP 75W90 in my diff after the first 500 miles. At 35k I changed it again and the gear oil looked great. No shimmer, no crud, no shiny particals, Nice and clean. Rear end functions flawlessly. You will be fine with RP
