  1. so where can i get replacement bulbs, i got my HIDs off of Ebay. Will any HID bulbs work
  2. Im a big fan of lifted trucks as long as they arnt so high that you can like walk under them. I think it looks good but not for an SS. I think it would be sweet to have a 2500 lifted with all the same cladding as an SS without the badges, i think that would look sweet
  3. that game cracks me up, it so much fun
  4. So I installed HIDs in my truck a little less then a year ago and i love them, but yesterday when i was driving home when it was dark i noticed that one of my lights did not seem just right, so when i stopped i looked and noticed my drivers side light had faded, it was not as blue as the other one. And the day before it was a blue as normal, so it just happened overnight As you can see the light on the driver side is not a bright or as blue I know that regular bulbs fade over time but i don't know about HIDs. I also know HIDs dont like the cold and i was parked outside the night before and it was -10 outside so i wonder if that may be the problem. Do you guys have any idea what might have caused it and how to fix it
  5. We are lucky out here in Oregon they do not use salt on the roads so rust is not a huge concern. They use cinder rock (you know that stuff from volcanoes) the only problem is there is a risk of rock chips because of the rocks
  6. Keep it i would love to have a 13.0 toy to play with especially for 5k
  7. it snowed everywhere. Yesterday it snowed everywhere in Oregon, and i mean everywhere including the cost the never gets much. The las time it snowed everywhere in Oregon at the same time was like in the 1890s. Global warming yeah right
  8. i need to do a little more work on my truck so i can stomp mustangs all day long
  9. Yeah im sure i will have a good time, and i will just have to get use to the heat. I am use to driving in bigger cities and around crappy drivers. After everything i have been hearing about the auto theft problem i have decided not to get a new exhaust setup and buy a good alarm system for my truck. I mean how can i enjoy my new exhaust setup if my truck is stolen lol me and my gf should be making decent money so we will try to find a place in a nicer neighborhood so maybe there is less of a chance of something happening, maybe live in a gated community. But im not exactly sure where im going to be working so i dont want to live to far away from work. By the way we are going to have have a G2G in a few months in the phoenix area i think that will be lost of fun
  10. Wow sounds like you did not enjoy yourself too much there. I hope my experience will be a little better. Its going to be different adjusting to the heat. As for the no green i should not have a problem, i am from eastern oregon which is not a very green place either, not as bad as the desert. Im just going to have to spend my free time getting away from the heat. I will be spending most of my time for about a year working alot so that will take up most of my time. As for driving in a big city i got that covered i have had losts of experience driving in a big city, my gf is another story. It will be fun to have a track close by too, right now i have to go 3 hours to drag. Im excited to be closer to other things to do as well. Like LA is only 6 hours away and so is Vegas (where my sister lives) and Phoenix is only 2. And mexico is close too so that may be fun
  11. So im going to be moving to Tucson, AZ here very shortly for work. Im excited and a little nervous at the same time. Its going to be a big change, right now the town I live in is only about 9k people and im moving to a city of a million, and the biggest city i have lived in is a little less then 50k so that parts going to be interesting. Im trading the Heavy rain and the mild summers of the Oregon Coast for the mild winters and extremely hot summers of the Sonoran desert I was wondering if there are any SS members in Tucson, I know there are lots in the Phoenix area just not sure bout Tucson. Also wondering if there is anyone on here that has recently lived in Tucson so i might know what to expect, I have never been there so im curious about things like crime, traffic, whats the automotive scene like, and what are the fun things to do All i know is the first thing im going to do is rip off my front license plate and maybe re-tint my windows since they are a little less strict there
  12. Sweet Birthday Preset I wished could have done that on my 24th a couple months ago. But you know thats not the only reason, you want to be the fastest SS dont you I can see your plans within plans...lol
  13. I have seen that before and it makes me laugh, but its so true. If you really think about it. I really believe there should be a playoff system because on any given Saturday anybody can beat anybody. I have seen it way to many times where team wins 11 games but looses one game to a opponent it should not have and the team that looses does not play in the national championship but may be a much better team then the teams who actually played in the championship.
  14. Yeah im starting to think thats what i should go for, i think it would look good especially angles like the lightning style. The guy at the local muffler shop quoted me between 300 and 320. That includes 2 Flowmaster 40 series mufflers, The cost of instillation which ncludes having to move the mufflers farther forward and bending pipes to go out the side and the cost of 2 stainless tips. DO you think this a good deal
  15. Dump it, i think thats just way to much IMO
  16. So im going to get a new exhaust setup, Im going with dual 40 series flowmasters out the side in front of the rear tire. My question is should i go with round tips or oval tips. If i go with the round im going to have the pipes bent at a little bit of an angle similar to the Lightning (i know i know dont say it)
  17. yeah lots of people have had this problem. I did and i fixed it. Some people taped them off and painted them. I used electrical tape and taped them and it looks good the other one is starting to peel so i need to do that one too
  18. Corsa is just to expensive for me, i really dont need a full catback system, i just need a new muffler. and then i might do a side exit
  19. I have been reading lots of topics in this section and it seems like many people seem to believe that flowmasters are more restrictive then lets say magniflows. Is this really true. Im planning on changing my exhaust setup, right now i have Flowmaster 50 series SUV muflers. I want something louder so i was thinking about getting some 40 series or super 44s, but many people seem to think that flowmasters are restrictive and will actually hurt my performance. Is this really true. If so is it really worth the extra money to get a magnaflow over a flowmaster, are you really getting that much performance gain for the price? Just curious if there have been any research done. I would love to see some dyno numbers that shoe that a magnaflow gains more power then a flowmaster
  20. I just dont want it to be so loud that i get a head ache
