  1. well i was going over the brightman street bridge on rt6. in mass and saw a awsome lookign ss. this thing was bad a$$. had a roll pan fog light from the bottom vents silverado ss windsheild sticker, black. i was just wondering if it was a members here. if it is i would love to meet up to take a better look at that thing. had a sticker on the back so it could have said silveradoss.com but idk. just throwing it out there and maybe someone knows!!!
  2. myspace ya i have one too. ill be sending freind request's to fellow ss members here!!
  3. wow im so glad this topic came up. because i was doing the same thing yesterday but was thinking if this would hurt my engine? so im glad it doesnt hurt. i love to slow down drop the gear and hear my exhaust get so much louder. can you do the same thing with upshifting without hurting the engine? and how can the tow/haul mode make it sound diffrent????
  4. i said i didnt care that much about performace because i was sick of dealing with those stupid people from that company. everything they told me is now false!!! so im returining it and gettign my money back. and im getting a 3" in/outlet from my dealer at work(should have gone to him first but i wanted to save money) well now i have to wait 3-4weeks for my returned creidt!!!!! but when it comes in ill post new pics. (of course i want performance. but not to much just a c.a.i, exhaust and tune for me thats it!!!)
  5. so you think from going from a 3 inch pipe to a 2.5" muffler back out a 3" pipe is a bad idea!! im not woried about performance to much!
  6. ya for now...and i think they sent me the wrong one i needed 3"in/out they sent me 2.5 any problems with just getting pipe decreasers and increases to make it fit??
  7. well it finally came in. took only 6 days. ordered it from autopartswarehouse.com.. by far the best place to order stuff. the staff is unbelivebalby smart in every vechicle component you can think off. and alos has 24/7 live chat option. well here it is a super 40 flowmaster!
  8. i install these at work all the time. i belive the passlock you dont need if you installer will go into the door and run 2 wires. i did it to mine and saved like 30 bucks on a module. we only install dei products and i belive they are the best around.
  9. defintly recomed the early warning!!!!! i want to uprgrade to that!!!
  10. well it all depends were you get it. i highly recomend calling lojack itself. if you go through a dealership they charge all diffrent prices. on average i see regular lojack cost around 3-400. and ealry warings about 4-600. though i have seen the ocasionaly rip off from the dealer charging up to $1200. i was doing a job with one other guy and he asked. "o not a bad price to protect a car like this" the guy looked at us and said"1200 bucks isnt bad!!! i think thats expensive" we just froze knowing the actuall price of what they cost. dont get ripped of. call lojack and they will give you better deals then someone else. keep in mind prices will change depeding were you are.
  11. ya i bought the rims and i can tell you there are perfect!!!! and he is a great guy to deal with so if you want any of his stuff get it...he isnt the kind of guy to screw you over!!!
  12. screw replacing them its just a sticker. ill go to a local sign shop and have them make a identical sticker or have it air brushed "ss clone"
  13. well you can keep the factory bose only if you amp the sub and nothing else. bose has a factory amp in the truck and to bypass it and use a aftermarket to amp all speakers and sub will run you into some $$. but if you just amp the sub you should be fine. money wise its not bad at alljust depends on the quality you get. if you get a sub that can handel 500 watts dont skimp on the amp and only get a 250 amp keep the wattage between the two pretty equal and bridge the sub for even more power!
  14. well IMO i can only give you some suggestions. i havent personally dealt with subthump boxes but can answer your question on one or two. and the answer is how you install it. i have personally done audio at work were 1 10" has been louder and sounds better than 2 12". just dont worry to much about were air is coming from and how easyliy it will pass unless you are looking into competition. if you just want good bass i say go single box. but thats just my $0.02. i have only been doing audio for a couple years and havent excatly figured out all the kinks in everything.
  15. thanks guys ill defintly keep you posted. and about those center caps idk anyone with a ss who could say there theirs and get new ones. but im pretty good freinds with the parts manager at my local dealer so hopefully he can hook me up!
  16. hope so..the bumper cover should be ordered a little after xmas and the new roll pan probablly 4 x-mass.
  17. well i was just wondering today at work if alot of you guys have lojacks installed. because at work we are also a expiditer for lojack and isntall them but i havent yet come upon doing a ss. just wanted to know if you have it isntalled. and if you dont i defintly recomed it. not trying to push a product but with the amount of A-holes out there who want to steal your truck; i fell much betTer sleeping at night knowing ones protecting my baby. yes they are expensive, but so is your truck you just bought!! just want to get a little feedback from you guys.
  18. ok i just got my ss 20's. and i was thinking with them showing so much of the brake arear now my stock brakes do not look to good. plus i want something to stop those rims with no problems. do you think i will have a problem using my stock brakes for a little while. so what brake kit do your recomend. that wont break my bank. also is there a kit with just rotors and keep the fac. caliper with better pads in it???
  19. o thats good. i have to tell my dad that he loves golf!
