well winter is almost here and its time i take my truck off the road to do al my work to it. i plan on getting it done in 3 months...hopefully. but along with the body mods i was thinking of doing some more engine work. i was looking at headers but am really confused on them. what is better long tubes or short tubes? and what company do you recomend, i hear pacesetter is good, any other suggestions. i hope someone can explain the long tube short tube to me because i have no idea whats the diifrence. with hshort tubes wouldnt you need more work in running exhuast pipes up to them or do they use factory flanges. also im a 04 4.8 rgcb not the big 6.0 like everyone else here is...(i wish i was though) p.s need to keep factory cat's. kyle

well i was thinking about blacking out my ambers on my headlights but decided that pulling them apart with no replacments if i F' them up is not so good. so i thought about blakcing them out completly with a cover. i would like it removalbe so do any of you guys know if these are removable or one they stick there on for good......o ya tell me if you think the look gay or what on a black truck?

well i asked the sam equestion and everyone told me, a shift kit, cai, exhaust and a pcm tune from zippy!! thats about it for me but depends on how much money you want to spend? kyle

well i think i was on cardomain one day and saw a truck. it was a chevy silverado and on the rear window it said "yes it has a vortex and yes it can kick your hemis ass" i was just wondering if anyone else has seen it, and if so werre can i get one??? thankz

diffrent veiw.

i was thinking of getting this roll pan. but i have have a opinion question for you guys to answer. my flowmaster comes out this side behind the rear wheel,so do you think it would still lookgood with it still coming out the side while having the roll pans exhasut cut outs like that? or should i cut my exhuast back so you cant see them and make it look like the exhaust comes out of the roll pan.

well i was looking around for headers and they have 2 options with or without egr. what is it? and a.i.r? dont know what either mean. any help would be good

well guys i dont own a intimidator but cant defintly tell you i saw production 1 or 2 in person and have a picture with it...lol you guys get to drive it everyday and all i have is a picture lol

thanks i just did the same kelly blue book value. so this guys deintly to high. and hes firm on it if it was low 20 maybe but this guy wants what he paid for it back probably.

hopefully im putting this in the right area. but ther is a ss for sale next to me. its a used 04 black ss with 8800 miles. the thing is mint. the guy wants 28000 but for me he would give 26500.he just bought a corvette in illions. now i would be pinching alot of pennies. i just bougth my 04 rgcb silverado. i think with half the money i would spend on this new truck i could make my stock rgcb more into a clone. just want your input on this. the truck doesnt have nay upgrades except crome ss wheels, and tint. and what i would want to do is more engine upgrades,style ext so im minus more -$. i dont know, the truck is mint never even seen rain but do you guys think thats alot of money of i should keep my plans with my clone? kyle

well i noticed that my pass. taillight is kind off stratched. nothing to big but i was wondering if ther is a product that can clear them up??? thanks

well guys alot of you have been giving me ideas and they really got me thinking. the military unfortunatly isnt for me right now. i have decided im going to umass dartmouth for civil engineering. i have been interested in engineering for a while i first wanted to go for mechanical engnerring so i could work for nascar but this is a better path for me. i appreciate all the help you guys have given me. i still one day want to own my own business for automotive. and im getting my real estate license come august. so i hopefully i will have many things to fall back on. i thank you guys so much for the help. kyle

im thinking about civil engineering. i love to be outside and i think designing brideges and dams,,,stuff like that would be fun....

and i want to go fast so will 22 slow me down???

i install alarms and radios at my job and can say most people go far a dei 564t. its the one with a lcd remote. i personally dont have it but it seems to work very well. and about the factory alarm we work off it. we hook it up to disconect the old one and still use all factory functions on the aftermarket one. its not a big deal with a factory alarm i hooked one up to mine and havent had a problem. you should think about a remote start they are a lil more money but its not that bad when its cold or really hot out and you get your truck perfect...IMO. and to install them its not that hard.... just take your time if you rush you WIll F something up...trust me i know
