for alarms i would recomend the 564t from valet. it has a remote start in it to so its a added feature. i like it because of the paging lcd. it shows you which door is open, how long the cars been running etc. also look into those shock senors and glass break senors! there owrth the extra 20 bucks IMO.

has anyone every done a ported throttle body. there a machine shop right next to were i work and i was thinking of getting this done. is there any special specs i shoudl folow? any noticable increases?

Have a shop do it. One of the best seat-of-the-pants mods ever!! I love stalling the SS up to 2500 then launch . I had a shop install mine plus zippy's shift kit for $501. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> was that including the price of the torque conveter? because im just getting a shiftkit installed with 2 serovs and its costing me 500. including kit but still comapred to a torque converter job its alot less and the same price?

ya i like sublime. around here we have a tribute band to them called "bad fish" maybe you have heard of them? there pretty good.

yep they said they would take care of it all. right now i just want to lower tm. increase rpm limiter and governor. thats it ,not a expensive fancy tune for me. and the best part is any problems they would fix it nomatter what.(thats what they say, but my uncle used to work with these guys along time ago so he knows they wont cut corners)

i install alarms/remote starts at work. and i can tell you factory alarms on gm's arent worth sh!t. like someone said before they only work when the dorrs opened from the inside. i have personally seen like 3 people come in withgms that have been broken into. the only thingi can say is uprgrade to a aftermarket. i would suggest something like glass brake senors. they work by sensing when a window is broken by a high picted sound when glass breaks. also they have shock senors to sense when dorrs open or when the car gets hit. i would recomend putting on behind your radio. i got this idea from a company in boston that we talk to and there putting shock senors on new hid lights because of high theft reports. i got the idea to put them behind radios so if they get into the car undetected once they go to remove the radio they will cause the alarm to go off. IMO thats what i would do. im planning on doing it once i get my eclispe nav in. just keep it in mind when you get a alarm done. kyle

well im getting it done. talked to a guy today and getting it installed soon. complete kit with 2 servos, the shift kit, new oil & filter, tuned pcm and install for $500. guarenteed for a year. cant wait till its done!!!

now i dont know if this it true or not but i heard that the factory intimidator wing is liek $900. IMO thata little steap! for a wing.

i rember seeing something like that one youtube. its a video of them showing the truck..doesnt look exactly like that but does have the lights and stuff with jr. coming out of it to do a interveiw. go check it out under "silverado ss".

i say go for it. its your money. i was looking into a handheld but then saw alot about mail order tunes. so thats what im going with. i do like the idea of going back to stock when ever you want. so i might go to a junkyard an dpick up another pcm...dont know yet! well good luck with your decision.

that would be correct.. its all the lower parts on the doors, bed ext..and if your me wanting to put it on your truck its F'n expensive

ya they dont fit the ss because of the cladding. i dont have a ss i have a regcab that im turinging into a ss
