  1. Coming back from the Hard Rock Casino and see a lamborghini (spyder something). He is just cruising and I caught a light with him and he didnt go so I played with him a little. He was an old guy but everyone likes to have fun. Finally catch another light and he is next to me coming to a stop. Light turns green before we stop and he slams it so I did also. Didnt seem like he knew how to drive it or he was just playing with me (more than likely the 2nd) but at 70 he was only 3 cars away. He had a rough shift for some reason into second which made me think he was pushing it and trying to shift. IDK if they have a manual mode or what but it was a loss. Worth a shot though! :jester:

Came home changed and went back out, this time to just cruise around. Had a new Tundra pull up behind me on Dale Mabry Hwy. I turned and he did also. Just cruising with my wife and jamming music. About 5 miles down the road we finally get a red light. Pulls up next to me and again another older guy. I noticed he had the 5.7L V8 tag on the side so now I really wanted to see what it had (never taken one from a dig, this one was stock). Light turns green we both go and by the time we let off at ~80mph he was at my ass end. Win for me!! After this he turned at the next light.

At the same light I had stopped with the Tundra I had noticed a Nissan 350z with some HIDs a car or two behind on my right. While I am cruising he caught up and pulls up next to me going ~55. Long stretch, he jumps, I jump (he got the jump), I start pulling on him. When he was at my ass we both let off. Couldnt tell you a stop point, wasnt really looking at the speedo. He passes after I slowed down and noticed he had dual exhaust. IDK if he had anything else but I will say he pulled about the same as a 370z i took from a roll of about the same point also. From a stop I could have smashed him but whatever, still another win for me.

I dont approve of street racing but I cant help myself... :peelout:

  2. either that or there junk. ive herd from lots that krypton hids suck. thats wat im leaning towards lol

DDM FTW. Customer support is legit also. As for the OPs question, reverse the polarity and check connections. That doesn't work you got some junk.

  3. We can measure our dicks in pm. No reason to have a internet pissing match. Just get some hard evidence like a video or some time slips. ATM its just someones word vs another.

  4. Looks to me like he was taking you up on your race offer just without the money. I'd like to see it after all this back and forth stuff. Whoever records it post it up here...

  5. Alright, truck was fixed today, was Front left wheel bearing, and my ABS sensor got fubared up in the process, so that was the reason my anti locks were coming on for no reason when stopping.

Thanks for those who helped with ideas.

Great. That should have rang a bell because the sensor for abs is with the wheel bearing. I just replaced mine also and noticed that the sensor was built in. At least you got it fixed. Lot of wheel bearing problems around here lately.

  6. Found out this product is discontinued from a pioneer rep. Also recieved a little bit of info. The new navi units have something like this built in. The guy said that this unit is not compatible with the newer pioneer DVD receivers as the RGB connection it hooks to has changed. I would think you could make a harness from old to New but that is something he wouldn't confirm.

Edit: if you have a green RGB port this unit will work. If you have a yellow RGB port it will not.

And I was looking forward to this also. Boo....

  7. That thig is kinda cool. I wonder how it works exactly? how does it read infor on your vehicles performance? It does not look like it hooks to a OBDII. Looks like it might have to be hard wired.

A lot of it works of a GPS antenna that it comes with.

I have been reading a little and found something that might help us understand it a little further. Looks like you will need to splice a wire or two. That parking brake wire can go into a relay. It's the same safety as a head unit so you don't crash while driving.

Here are the wires that come as part of the unit..:

    Yellow - Terminal always on

Red - to electrical terminal controlled by the ignition switch

    Black - ground

White/black - negative pole of Front left speaker

Grey/black - negative pole of front right speaker

Pink - "Vehicle's speed detection circuit"

Violet White - Reverse Light Light

    Green - Parking Break

  8. Its a Pioneer piece used in conjuction with any dvd head unit that is non navi already. Sounds pretty awesome...too bad i cant find one anywhere. I wonder if they have an updated one with a different part number?! If so I cannot find it.

The unit detects a wide range of real-time vehicle performance data — including acceleration, lateral G-forces, estimated horsepower, and torque, in addition to speed and RPM. Additionally, the GPS locator provides current vector information, as well as current location by longitude, latitude, altitude, and distance to destination.

Saw someone in a post on this site that had something like this showing on their head unit. Cant find it again though. Please chime in if you have any input on use of one of these, hook up, where to buy, ect... Thanks!

  9. I used to own a lightning and that thing was wicked fast for a truck, bone stock too. Not doubting you but do you think it may have been a clone? I would love to have one of those trucks again, but a single cab truck right now just isn't up my alley with my son and all. And good kill too. I don't promote street racing by any means but it sure feels good sometimes, lol.

When I said "multiple cars ahead." I just meant 2, shouldve said a couple. Anyway, I dont think a basic 5.4 Ford would have kept up like that, so it was not a clone. Especially in the 100+ range. I guess we can all agree he had no modifications done to it LOL. :jester:

  10. Yeah, that's not too far at all. Like 35-40 minutes. I'll have to take it out there some weekend soon. Definitely will post some numbers after.

He must've had something wrong because as I read more on them the numbers look to be a lot better. Not much for videos around where lighting beats a vmax. All the ones I can find the vmax wins. Who knows...I stomped his ass nevertheless and it felt great lol.

  11. Nope not yet. The wife told me I can't spend anymore money for a little while LOL. Truck is running great. I'm loving this tune. Haven't seen a silver one around but I'm sure he's out there. We have a decent street scene here.

  12. He must have not gave it everything or he doesnt know how to drive. Because those babies are real fast. I think there 400hp stock also weighing less than our trucks and being supercharged. So they are faster than our SS's

Idk know man. Seemed to me like he was trying real hard. Maybe he was one of the 1999-2000 models with only 360hp instead of 380. If its any consolation I have taken a Harley Davidson (the one with the lightning motor) model from a dig and was 2 lengths when I left off. At the next light I asked that guy if it was supercharged and he just looked at me pissed off.

  13. Saw a F150 Lighting hop on I-75 so I pulled up next to him. From a 85 mph roll the lightning hits it and I follow. Nothing but a second after I'm pulling past him and just keep pulling. At the end I was multiple cars ahead and hit a top speed of 131mph clocked with my GPS. He was definitely playing though because we went 2-3 times with the same result, him getting raped. Thought they were faster than that. With my 4.10 gears I didn't think it would be a murder that bad on the interstate. Couldn't tell you what year it was. I don't know much about fords.
