  1. Actually, I believe that system that you speak of is made by Corsa ... I have seen pictures of the muffler in that kit and I can tell you it's not a Borla truck muffler ... Read the ad jargon on the system ... They say it has an "S" flow type muffler to cancel interior resonance, and comes in a Performance or Touring sound level ... If I didn't get the B&B system from Kyle on here for such a good price, that was the kit I was going to get, and put on my own tip of choice as the GMPP kit doesn't come with one ... I researched this for two days and it does in fact look to be the Corsa sport muffler ... It also comes off the dual cat pipes into a Y into a single inlet ... If you look at the Y they use, it is offset I am guessing to cancel some resonance going into the muffler ... This to me, is one detractor to the Corsa for my needs ... They Y-off the inlet to the muffler rather than use a dual inlet muffler ... 11H
  2. Mods so far in my sig .. Some installed, some not ..
  3. The reason I am selling this is because I am trying to raise money for some tuning software ... The is nothing wrong with it .. It also includes the Serial to USB adapter that works perfect ... I have tested it on 4 machines and it runs great ... If you want to go to the AutoTap site and D/L Version 3.0 (3.1 is in beta now) you can to see what things look like ... http://www.autotap.com/downloads.asp
  4. This is a complete AT123 Kit Autotap ENHANCED PARAMETERS GM, FORD, DODGE ... All paperwork including product registration code and windows key ... I tested it on my 2006 V-Max and my 2004 2500HD 6.0, and 2002 Avalanche ... It works great with the new Autotap version 3.0 which includes the emmissions readiness screen ... This kit is equivalent to the current ATS with the ATENDON upgrade which is $450 ... The only difference is that it is NOT CAN (Controller Area Network) ... I have a list of what vehicles are CAN as of July 2006 so if you have a question about whether the vehcle you want to use it for is on the list, PM me ... *** If you find you want to upgrade this later to CAN capable, autotap tells me they will always honor this kit for upgrade... (It retailed for $500 when it was new) I am not aware of ANY scan tool that you can buy that covers all three makers for this low of a price ... $220 Shipped Free to the 48 states ... I take paypal If you want my username for eBay to see my reputation, I can give you that as well ... http://www.autotap.com/autotap_for_windows_screenshots.asp http://www.autotap.com/enhanced_parameters.asp
  5. I think with an 1/8" spray, you are at about 3-5 gallons at 8-10# per gal wet ... So I am guessing 30-50# or so?
  6. Vortec MAX, Very nice to see someone actually testing with a loaded dyno! ... I am actually more partial to them, but since the industry standard seems to be Dynojet Inertial dynoes, it only allows for more apple to apple comparisons ... I have helped in developing one CAI that is retail market now, and you hit the nail on the head which is why I wanted to see the inletting ... Honestly, the only way or REASON I see that would make more over the oem box is because it removes the flat panel filter ... If you are able to do a pull off-idle in the Mustang, you will surely see a better curve off-idle ... As you saw with the paper filter vs. K&N ... Off-idle will ALWAYS be better when you can pull a high delta P in the inlet ... (The higher and quicker you make vacuum the higher the curve will start off) IMO it MIGHT show an identical curve as oem box as they are BOTH still air boxes but the way the filter sits in reference to the fender openings, it is not much for efficiency ... Then when she starts pulling hard through the top, this kit will make more power than oem ... (Some will say the tubing is less restrictive) ... However in all my dyno testing, the oem tubing is not a restriction on a NA motor; in fact it makes the curve build quicker ... At least in my testing on these Gen III's ... Food for thought I guess ... Nice to see you also have found there is NOTHING to gain with a K&N panel filter ...
  7. Really? I stand on my rails a lot while tying stuff down and would not trade a nice 1/8" to 3/16" thick covering for the world! ... No worries about scratches or dings on the rails if it's sprayed right ... It's not as "perty" but it is protective ... Also if you plan on a lid or cover it rocks as it does have better traction for clamping and no marring paint ... my .02
  8. Now that is impressive ... This is how we learn about what's on the market! ... I know you got her all together and all, but would it be possible to remove the filter and take a shot of the opening of the box from the inside where it mates to the inner fender? I would like to see how much of an opening it has to pull from and what it looks like ... Thanks! If you don't mind, what is the full kit part number and how much did you pay? Pictures are worth a thousand words! Thanks! 11H
  9. $1000??? ... That's not too bad man ... It could have been a whole lot worse especially since you had to force it home ... I am guessing they saved the torque converter?
  10. The 545RFE is a stellar transmission ... It is used in the HD fullsize gas trucks and Dodge actually considered using this trans in the future cummins diesel, however scrapped the idea in favor of a new ground-up 6 speed auto being developed... This trans from what I am told has very few failures and if it does, it's designed to not leave you stranded... (debilitating) The years of Dodge's transmission woes are over from what it looks like. I always said, i they can get a good tranny behind the Cummins 6, Chevy and Ford better get worried. Now to say the M70 is weak is purely irresponsible ... Do you even KNOW what makes it that designation? ... I will hand you one thing, the 545RFE is probably a better tranny overall for new age refinement and torque handling, but the thing that people can't get out of their damn heads is that the M70,M32,M30 all derive from the same late 70's early 80's 700R4 (get over it) ... Which HAS come a loooong way for it's genre, and is the CHEAPEST modern trans to build up ... YA, it's a 4 speed which makes it accelerate a bit less quick, but there are also advantages to a 4 speed ... I tell ya, don't ever break a 545RFE/45RFE ... Get your Heloc ready ... my .02
  11. That's good right there, it's now my desktop! --- Thanks, do you want a royalty fee?
  12. dude, you need to send me the full size picture of that !!!!!!!!! I have seen many Yamaha Grizzly custom pics, but that one is by far the best !

    pe mode

My overall 2 second delay to PE is ummm ... "gone" I can attest to the LQ4 ... It was a different animal in my 04 2500HD after tuning ...
  14. and if you want to keep the heat down, make sure you have the Yamaha TSB (Heat fighter kit) and get your header JetHot or similar coated. They have poor venting around the motor bay if you work them hard at slow speeds. I completely flushed mine (acid flushed) and run GM DexCool and it helped a good amount... all 2006's and bac to about 2004 have the heat fighter kit from the factory... the vented cowl and all the shielding on the lines near the motor
  15. It depends on how "invasive" you want to get ... I know the guy who developed all the Hotcams and he is the same guy who had a hand in the griz and others when he worked for Yamaha R&D ... He bleeds blue and nobody knows better than Tony anything Yamaha, so I have about as good a source as you can get. Bang for your buck, as he has told me the inletting and exhaust with a 2" tip add-on, can support a Hotcams 660 Raptor Cam. stock valvetrain. Don't bother with the mudbuster or oem raptor cam ... The hotcam rap cam will gain big throughout the powerband... you might then want to get a stage 1 clutch kit then, and never run anything but the oem belt. never If you don't want to pull the top off the motor (It's cake) I would say then an HMF slip-on with a DuraBlue filter kit (cheaper than ProDesign) and a Dynojet kit ... Honestly though, all I have done to mine since I am keeping my box covered, is a 2" tip, modded the oem arrestor, durablue filter kit and adjusted the air circuit ... It flat out slaughters my buddies piped and jetted open box Rincon (was mine) There are a couple good bore kits too if you want a lot more; Hauck has an 800cc kit LOL http://www.hauckpowersportsinc.com/clearan...ils_1215_1.aspx I have a built 450R that I work on myself that I ride for 30 minutes and I am spent, so the Grizz is more of a liesure quad that I take anywhere ... The Honda 500 Foreman is my go anywhere quad if I don't want to risk wrecking my $7000 grizz quad ... LOL Really though, the grizz is a strong quad on the dyno stock and the curve is really killer; it's hard to beat a grizz for all around use. I have not jumped on the EFI wagon yet, so it's a fav ...
  16. chase, I have an 06 Grizzly (same motor) and am pretty up on mods you want for power ... I admin at atvtech.net as "dez" ... the 2 racers that finished first in GNCC, we have their builders on our site and they participate as well as are our friends ... I also have a 50rwhp 450R and an 05 Foreman for trail riding ...
  17. maybe it's because you have a bad front 02 (B1 or B2) and the rear o2 sensor is telling you the front sensor is bad ... which would set your MIL ... Enjoy your lean condition and maybe your too lean condition ...
  18. Here in AZ they call it "waste of finite resources" ... That is pretty inclusive ... I think some cops just see a vehicle, hear it's loud, and have to step in and flex their muscles ... most of them are level headed, but you get one in 100 that a truck like your's bumps their ego cage. If you were ballsy, you could have asked him why HE was so aggressive in his traffic movements and impeded public safety in cutting off another vehicle to get to you ... It's interesting how many of them will do whatever it takes to get to a vehicle to make a stop, but NEVER announce code or take into consideration what THEY do to intercept you.

    EFILive or HPTuners

I am sorta leaning to efilive v1 as they don't charge for black box and inputs at $550 where as to get that with hptuners you have to get the pro version at $650 ... for my use, I like the idea of the 4 individual licenses with HPtuners, but 2 should suffice now with efilive ... now if i can only talk them into giving me credit for my non CAN ST1 kit ...
  20. Just as it states ... I have been in the ages of AutoTap logging and Diablosport Custom tuning Since 2001 ... I have a 2006 V-Max and am going to purchase either HPTuners or EFILive ... (So far the EFILive at $549 seems like a better deal than the HPTuners Pro for $649) Can I get some detailed feedback on what you all feel about each? I currently have AutoTap for GM, Ford, Chrysler (non-CAN) and wonder if they would "discount upgrade" me to the EFILIve V1? Anyone been accross this path yet? One BIG priority for me is to be able to SAVE the oem tune and revert to it, which is nice as I carry the predator with a custom tune and the oem tune ... and in a pinch I like having it to pop in on the roll and check basic real data (Like if I am on the road and get a load of fuel that might be "off" I plug-in and check er out) ... At this point, EFILive V2 is a bit more than I want to spend to get the handheld at least ... (zippy seems like the guy to give me the ho-down) Thanks in adv! 11H
  21. Aren't you glad you pulled the blinders from my eyes?
