  1. The turbo will be on about the same time as you get your truck back from getting your turbo installed.
  2. I posted up the video of the burnout here: http://www.silveradoss.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=66635 I was in a bit of a hurry last night to go watch the Brock Lesnar fight so I will do a better one another day with some sunlight.
  3. Here is a video of a little burnout I did to make sure the Truetrac was working properly, lol. I let off after the 1-2 shift or it would have kept spinning until 3rd. Thanks to Reynaldo and Juan for the install. I will take a better video when it is not so dark.
  4. I had no issues doing burn-outs with the old G80 but I know the new DTT is a much stronger unit and hopefully it will last a long long time.
  5. I was very happy with the stock G80 so I can't say it is a night and day difference. I could say that compared to the old 10 bolt with open diff I had before. Was you G80 not applying power to both wheels correctly? Did your times actually get worse given that the DTT is heavier than the G80? I have to go out and take a video with both tires spinning now, lol!
  6. Well, the G80 in the 14 bolt broke last time out at the track so I bought a Detroit Truetrac to replace it. I was in the burnout box when I heard a pop and thought it was the car in front of my taking off. I did my burnout and ran but when I came back around to park in my spot I felt like the truck was heavy and the rpm's would drop when I turned the wheel all the way to the right or left. I thought it might be that I run it low on gas at the track and when turning the gas was shifting to where the pump wasn't so I added some gas. I ran again and afterwards it felt the same when parking. I drove home and noticed that the inside tire would chirp and hop when turning. It turns out the posi went out but it remained in the locked position so both wheel wanted to turn at the same rate. I loved the way the G80 ran at the track and on the streets but after two years of pounding it with consistent 1.8 60fts it finally went out. I wanted something a little stronger because I am installing a turbo and nitrous so I went with the Truetrac. I have heard only good hings about it so I figured I would give it a shot. I drove it around a bit yesterday after the install and it drives great. Now I want to go back to the track and test it there. I wanted to thank Reynaldo(chpspecial) and his brother Juan for installing the locker in the truck. They did it for basically some "In-n-Out" burgers and a case of "Dos Exis". Stay Thirsty My Friends!
  7. Good times! Looks like a mid-high 11's in the 1/4 with those 1/8 times. I ran 7.7 at Irwindale in my brothers 2010 Camaro and when I went to Fontana I ran a 7.9 1/8 and 12.1 1/4. With a small shot I managed a 11.7 in the 1/4 with a 7.6 1/8. I have always ran about 2 tenths slower 1/8 mile times in Fontana as compared to Irwindale. My best in the Silverado at Irwindale is a 8.2 so far. I ran that last time out there with Phillip and Reynaldo and ran the same three times back to back to back. :yellow_loser: :yellow_loser: Sounds like a challenge to me, lol. j/k If Phillip can install my nitrous I would run you 150 shot vs 150 shot.
  8. What is the lowest for a fellow SoCal brother? Cash money, no shipping or PayPal. Looking to hide the nitrous under the covers, lol.
  9. Last week my CEL turned on and when I plugged in the data logger it gave me two codes: 1. P0443 - EVAP 2. P0103 - MAF What could be causing the codes to pop up now? The MAF is off in my tune as I am in SD mode. I have been that way for over a year now and just recently did the CEL turn on.

You guys are missing the whole point of using corrected times. To me it is a simple tool to see if the mods installed are netting me any improvement even though I raced on different days or even different tracks. I posted the time slip times and under that is the corrected numbers. I have ran a best of 13.3 period. Without DA correction lets say I installed the turbo and ran the truck in Denver and their DA that day was 7000+ and I ran 13.15. So after adding a turbo with say 10 PSI of boost I only gained 0.15 seconds. Are trucks that run at high altitude or high DA's actually slower than the ones that run at Cecil or Atco in the East coast. The only way to compare them is to use DA correction.

I went to the CA Speedway in July and managed to do pretty good given the 100+ temps with almost 4K DA. My previous best at California Speedway on April 3: R/T.......... .125 60'......... 1.843 330'....... 5.386 1/8......... 8.421 MPH...... 80.44 1000.... 11.077 1/4....... 13.337 MPH...... 99.54 DA(1987 ft) Corrected time: 1/4....... 13.033 MPH.... 101.92 My current best at California Speedway on July 17: R/T............ .90 60'......... 1.855 330'....... 5.513 1/8......... 8.600 MPH...... 79.21 1000.... 11.302 1/4....... 13.606 MPH...... 97.60 DA(3769 ft) Corrected time: 1/4.......... 12.98 MPH..... 102.37 The only difference between runs was a change in wheels to a wider rear 16x10 vs the stock 16x8(or 16x7) on the same tire(MT 28x11.5x16) and narrower front tires on same stock wheels. The new GT 76 turbo should be here by next week at the latest so the install will begin this month.
  12. Next month there will be night racing at the Auto Club Dragway. Better weather could mean better times so lets try and make this one. Gates open at 12:00 and racing is from 2-10 PM. More info can be found here: http://www.autoclubspeedway.com/Tickets-Events/Events/2010/Auto-Club-Dragway/Street-Legal-Drags/Street-Legal-Drags-6.aspx

    New Best

Went back to the track and has a PB on the 1/8 then went to the 1/4 and had a PB there too. Added E-fans and removed the spare and tailgate for these runs. My best at Irwindale Dragway: R/T......... .685 60'........ 1.780 330'...... 5.264 1/8....... 8.255 MPH...... 81.51 Here are the slips: My best at California Speedway: R/T......... .125 60'........ 1.843 330'...... 5.386 1/8....... 8.421 MPH...... 80.44 1000.... 11.077 1/4...... 13.337 MPH...... 99.54 Here are the slips:

    I ran an EVO at the track and he barely beat me because my r/t was better. With how I am running now I would have beat him. Here is the run for comparison: ...............Evo..........Me R/T ........ .421 ....... .271 60' ....... 2.161 ...... 1.920 330 ...... 5.809 ...... 5.564 1/8 ...... 8.771 ...... 8.678 MPH .... 84.34 ..... 78.54 1000 ... 11.272 .... 11.421 1/4 ..... 13.384 .... 13.762 MPH .. 107.45 ...... 96.11 You can see that at the 1/8 mark I had him by 0.093(8.771 - 8.678) plus 0.15(.421 - .271 R/T) for .243. Then by the 1000 mark we were dead even but he ended up about two cars(0.2284) ahead. I needed a perfect light to beat him, lol. He is AWD I am RWD also.

I went back to Irwindale again Thursday and managed a new personal best. The only change was that I removed the spare tire. I should have also removed the tailgate and maybe I could have gone 8.2?? Below are my runs: First run: R/T......... .388 60'........ 1.789 330'...... 5.299 1/8....... 8.308 MPH...... 80.92 Second run: R/T......... .708 60'........ 1.841 330'...... 5.381 1/8....... 8.406 MPH...... 80.62 Third run: R/T......... .600 60'........ 1.803 330'...... 5.341 1/8....... 8.368 MPH...... 80.56 Hey Art 2.0 check out my 1.7 60ft, lol. j/k  Thanks for helping me change the tires Phillip and Reynaldo. I need to install that electric fan and shocks now.
  17. Lets go this Thursday if it doesn't rain. What are you doing tomorrow? I can swing by in the Camaro as I need to put some miles in it before the dyno so it is ready for the spray. Yes. Did you race? I just checked my log and I was at 20 degrees also but increasing it will not help me. Get your DR's at meet up at Irwindale this Thursday.
  18. Thanks. Here is the video of the second run. Had to go solo because someone spilled oil on the other lane.
  19. I went to the track yesterday for a little more seat time. And more seat time is what I got since all I did was sit and wait, and wait and wait. I only got two runs in. My results are below: First run: R/T......... .632 60'........ 1.818 330'...... 5.366 1/8....... 8.407 MPH...... 80.19 Second run: R/T......... .933 60'........ 1.829 330'...... 5.390 1/8....... 8.436 MPH...... 80.09 I did not get a chance to install the e-fans or remove the spare and tailgate.
  20. 2 BAR MAP = GM P/N: 12580698 AC Delco: 213-1631 - This one is a direct replacement.3 BAR MAP = GM P/N: 12223861 - This one is not a direct replacement.
  21. My brother in law need some to pass the smog check.
  22. Just get 60lb Plug n' Play Multech II truck injectors and call it a day. No need to sell your current or 42's later and upgrade. I put in 60lb injectors almost two years ago in anticipation of a turbo but have yet to install it and the injectors have been working flawlessly even though my highest IDC is 33-35%. After the new year I will be going back to the track one more time N/A then the turbo will finally go in. Also, the 60lb injectors are rated at 43.5 PSI(3 bar) but flow 72'b at our 58 PSI(4 bar) fuel pressure.
