I was at the track several months ago and an older gentleman in a 70 Chevelle SS pulls beside me in the staging lane and starts complaining about the SS badges on the TBSS. He wasn't too happy when I handed him his ass at the end of the 1/4.

Sharp bike. I was in the market for a bike again and went looking for cruisers. I knew I wasn't getting another Harley due to the fact that the last two I had left a really bad taste in my mouth. I just don't have any luck with them. Ended up with a Honduh VTX 1300C.

A friend of mine used to have a limited late model with a 355 small block chevy in it. Well a few years ago he blew it up, and has since quit racing. I have seen the motor, and the whole top end is good, he just blew out the number 7 cylinder. Could I use the all of the dirt track stuff ( heads, cam, intake, carb) on a bottom end that I have sitting around and still be able to daily drive it? I have experience building engines, I just dont know much about dirt engines. Any help would really be great.
The cam may not be "streetable" enough for a daily driver truck. The engines I ran didn't wake up until about 2800-3000 rpm and then they would eat.

It was my work truck. that i purchased. I wont get fired. It just kinda sucks though. My cousin came and picked me up at the police station and we went to look at the truck theres not a straight piece on it, i lost my cell phone in the wreck or i would take pictures. i blew a .149 in the breathalizer so im really screwed i think im getting a dui out of it which is gonna suck, but i deserve it
Glad all are OK. A bit of advise, You have already given them proof of your blood alcohol content, so the best thing you can do is try to get into a pre trial deversion program of some sort. Lots of community service, AA meetings, humility, etc. Remember, you have admitted guilt by blowing, don't try to change that because the judge will see that you have not come to terms with the "crime" and you will get close to the max sentence. Best thing to do is cower and beg like a bitch. No shame in that. Good luck and if the judge and procecutor belive you have learned a lesson, you have done some community service, they will be lenient as possible. Just hope like hell MADD does not persue your case or you are ****ED!

You keep saying that and comparing your times etc to stock SRTs. I keep pointing out that you're not stock either...yet you guys continue to compare stock 2-3 year old SRT times to your stuff. What was the Road and Track test times for your stock trucks?
But I never claimed to be stock. You guys just claimed bullshit. R&T said 14s on the TBSS. Mine went 13.8 stock and 13.521 with a tune only.

While I have been drunk enough to have to hold onto the grass to keep from falling off the earth, I have never been drunk enough to do something like that..
