  1. Right on. Been kicking it around a little. I will probably do the touring if I pull the trigger

I should really clarify a bit... inside the truck, it is quiet, like most Corsa installations. No drone at all. I have to roll down all the windows, open the sun roof, and open the sliding back window to hear it at all inside. Bit of a disappointment, really. But outside, it sounds great!

  2. Hank, how loud is it? Do you like the sport on yours or you think you should of done the touring? Also yours is a 6.2 right? I think all Denalis are......?

Just loud enough! Any more might have been too loud for a basically stock "luxury" truck. I didn't have a choice when I ordered, as I recall, only one model was offered, and that was the sport. I am very happy with it. And yes, mine is a 6.2, and I think you're correct that they all are.

  3. They much be putting some sort of huge markup on those C7's. I have a friend who bought a Shelby Mustang and they were trying to charge him an Extra 10 grand, and he said hell no and walked away. Then they were like wait wait come back we will take off the markup.

Kerbeck in Atlantic City, NJ is already discounting C7's (Non-Z51 cars) by $2000.00!

Edit: Also note that the majority of their C7's are under (and well under!) $70K. The convertibles run more. It all depends on 1LT, 2LT, 3LT, and options.

  4. where are you looking? The Base corvette is only $51K and a loaded one with everything will still run you under $70K.

I think the Z06 will start around $65K

Im excited to see what they did performance wise. Im hoping around 550hp

I agree. It also has to be put into perspective. No car approaching its performance can be had for less than twice or three times the price of the Z06.

  5. Welcome to the site! This site has been on-line for over 10 years now, and there is a wealth of information on just about any topic related to the SS. When I first joined the site, I searched for topics that interested me, and not only found answers, but that led me to other threads where I learned even more. There are excellent how-to threads, performance recommendations, fix-it threads, etc. I agree with Jeff, a great way to honor your Grandfather. My dad was also a WWII vet, served in the Army in the Pacific. Enjoy the SS!

  6. I truly hope they build this, in one form or another. Problem is, they're never going to please everyone with a limited production model. If they make it standard cab, there will be those (like me) who would have liked extended cab. If it's 2WD, somebody will have wanted AWD (like me) or 4WD. If it's automatic, some will have wanted stick. With a limited production truck, I doubt the list of options can be too long.

That's why I always thought the SS was so perfect. Not as cramped as a standard cab, or as bulky as a crew cab. Not as limited in its function as a Lightning or SRT-10. It was a platform that performed relatively well as it was sold, but could be easily upgraded, either mildly, or as wild as you wanted.

Enough editorial... If they build it, I very likely will be signing up, if it meets MY needs. :)
