Condolences and prayers for you and your family. Also, try to be strong for them, even in such a difficult time.

Very nice truck!
-
Hank! Which one you taking! hahaha I wanna ride in the VETTE
If the weather is good, I will have the Corvette.
-
HANK,we can drink beer and pick on niko :jester:
I'm in!

A cam only swap will be very easy. if everything goes smooth, that truck will be running by lunchtime! Get yourself a cam install kit. Then you'll have all the gaskets, seals and new balancer bolt in one kit.
So what do we do for the rest of the afternoon?

I'll get back on my soap box about getting the Garage working again. Not a new feature, but it contained a lot of valuable information. I'm sure newer members would like to add information, as well as reference some of the information that was already there.
-
Put me down as a definite maybe. If I can be there, I will. Once a date is set, and gets close, I will know for sure. The helping I do best is helping to drink the beer, though.

I sold mine in October of 2011. I was asking $17000, I got $16000. I had almost the same mileage on it. I had only bolt on modifications as well. So, you're in the ballpark. Good luck.

I'm picking the 49'ers, so it would probably be a good bet to put your money on the Ravens.
-
Just reading through this for the first time... congratulations on the buy! The AN3 code would indicate leather seats, though...
"AN3 - BUCKET SEATS W/FRT LTHR SEATING SURFACES, DR/FRT PASS 10-WAY PWR ADJ, HEATED SEATS W/PWR LUMBAR, 2-POS DR SIDE MEMORY"
Edit: Also the R9N code: "R9N - LEATHER APPOINTED SEATING"

You're a regular "grizzled veteran" now!
-
They should put a bra on it too!
-
Thanks hank it was a painful process
As you know, I fully understand.
-
Congratulations, Chad?

I voted Ravens and Falcons. Let's get some new guys in there!

o ok good to kno thanks for the info
also what was the price on all 5 i didnt see one listed or i might of over looked it
The price for all 5 is the price of the 2 piece, plus the price of the 3 piece. They had no "package deal" when I bought mine, and it looks as if you still have to order each separately.
-
my stock grill is already painted black so first step down lol... im looking to buy all 5 in one not 2 and 3.. but that looks like a great quailty hank ill have to do some digging and see if they offer the 5pcs set
has anybody else bought the cut out ones? how big pita is it?
the search contuines
The reason that they offer 2 piece and 3 piece separately, i believe, is so that those with a standard Silverado can order just the 2 piece. I ordered both 2 & 3 at the same time, and received them together. So it really wasn't a problem for me.

Very nice Hank. I will have to look into those. Are they easy to install?
Those ebay ones say cutting required and IDK if I want to do that. May be worth spending the extra money on the Carriage works ones
I would say it was easy. I made it a bigger project because I removed the top grille portion for painting, and had to mask everything with blue painters tape prior to spraying. By the way, I also just used regular Krylon type, rattle-can, flat black to paint the stock grille.
Edit: Just to clarify, I removed the top 2 grilles with the center bar, which comes out all in one piece.
Edit 2: Yes, you have to buy the bottom 3 grilles separately from the top 2.

I got my black billet (bolt over) grille here: http://www.cwgrilles...ode=SilveradoSS (Choice of cut-out or bolt-over)
Not the cheapest around, but fit was excellent. I painted my stock grille flat black prior to installation to minimize it showing. Not a red truck, but here is a picture:

I like it... a lot!
When the C6 first came out, it was ripped... what happened to the hide away headlights, for example. Now, it's the "best ever". I love the C6, and will love the C7. Seeing it in person, sitting in it, driving it... that will really tell the story.

To say NICE JOB is an understatement. Most guys would not have touched that with a 10 foot pole.
-
Hank, do you think that you and Mark may make this event? Bowling Green is 8 hours from here, so I'm definitely thinking about it.
No, I can't make it this year, but my SS is gone now anyway.
-
James did a great job on my sig!

For those who are wondering if it is "worth going" or not, Rockhead (Mark) and I drove from the Philadelphia / Central NJ area to Kansas City for that meet. There were approximately 25 each of Silverado SS's and Trailblazer SS's. The track day was rained out, but that actually gave us more time to get acquainted with all of the folks who were there. For us, the trip was well worth it. Here is a picture of all the trucks lined up on the track for a group shot.
