  1. Im not 100% sure they are leds, I want to say yes they are- but either way they are super bright.
  2. mold it in! and I use he bolts with the led lights in em. makes for a much cleaner look than cutting it for stock bumper lights:
  3. so this would be 100% bolt complete exhaust? would retuning be required?
  4. I have both, actually two of each. a diesel and a gas are two very different animals. Parts will be more for the dmax over a gas motor but overall i say my maintenance balances out. I run fully synthetic oil in my ss and the cost of that vs the extra mileage i get out of my diesel motor oil balances out. AS far as mods for a dmax, the tranny will cost you a lot to build. The 5 spd dmax will hold 90+ hp any more than that you are talkin several thousand to build it. In my case, i bought the SS first, dont drive it everyday, and decided to buy a dmax for a daily. The only reason i pick the dmax over the SS is you make a comment about cost oer 10 years. If you plan to DD this truck for 10 years, I vote DMAX just for reliability and the diesel will take the miles If we arent talking lots of miles, then SS.
  5. Bumpin this back up, winter is here someone must need a 4x4
  6. I believe the answer is no, because IIRC that is in th BCM not the ECM
  7. there are different types of hydraulic hose which use different style crimping methods where the hose meets the metal line. I'm going to do what i did on my dmax, hydrualic shop we use for our heavy equipment will make me a piece of hose with a different style end where hose meets metal, and a compression fitting on the other end so i can put it on the metal line and tighten it up
  8. anyone know what size the metal tranny cooler lines are? My dads is leaking and I think im going to do what the duramax guys do and replace the rubber with hydraulic hose. since dad drives his ss everyday would rather have this off the road as little as possible.
  9. got any pics of the SS? I might be willng to trade u my dmax- check out my for sale thread
  10. what kind of backing plate do those use? Im thinking of getting some new pads to use with my buffer. if I had to change backing plate and all, what would that run?
  11. I'm agree I think the only SS that stands a chance of being worth any $ is the Intimdators that are completely original- thats the reason i bought one. I also have the orignal 454ss- bought it because i thought it would be worth money. I believe the regular SS silverados will follow the 454ss as far as values go- worth more than the other chevy trucks of those years, but not anywhere near "collector money" Hell I have my 454ss up for sale- because i think my pair of imtinidators will be worth my than that, and since the garage is full something needs to go. I'd say if you just have a regular ss, drive it, mod it, enjoy it, and enjoy the fact its going to hold more resale value than other chevy trucks of these years. IF you have an intimdator ss, maybe you wanna park it in the garage like me. lol
  12. those LEDs on ebay, do they require a resistor? or are they just a direct soldier in? do you give you "hot spots"?
  13. yes, any radio that can have a remote can use this, however this is SOLD
  14. Bought this to install my radio, then found out the package I bought came with the harness I needed. Here is the amazon link for the product specs: Harness Discription This is brand new, package was opened but not used, not wires cut. This is what u need if you put an aftermarket radio in an SS. $35 shipped
