rico750sxi
Anyone running the stock tires on a 20X9" wheel? I found these and I really like them, what do you all think? They are 20x9" and they recommend a 295/50 for them. I don't want to buy new tires too.
2drTahoe
What's up with not tellin us the name of the rim? I saw those the other day and liked them, but I can't remember the name. Eagle LS is the SS tire right... Approved Rim Width: 7.5- 8.5 http://www.goodyear.ca/catalog/products/EA...AGLELSSize.html end of the page Nice rims! rico750sxi
I know of people who have put 315/35's on 9.5" wheels and Goodyear recommends a 10"-12" wheels. Isn't what I want to do kind of the same thing but I'm going the opposite way?
2drTahoe
Did a little poking around. Let's see if this pic works pic didn't work, here's the link http://www.fordtruckworld.com/gallery/sarek/262134.jpg 20 inch. MB Motoring "Flash" with 275-45-20 GTII's, and 3 coats of Z-2! http://www.fordtruckworld.com/mygallery.ten?id=9501 Maybe you can contact him and see what he thinks about running 275s on a 9 inch rim. We'll just ignore that they are on a ford
rico750sxi
I couldn't get any of the links to work. But he does have a 275 on a 9" rim. Come to think of it, I've run a 275 on a 9.5" rim before. Thanks for poking around.
2drTahoe
Yeah, people are so possessive about their pics. You have to copy the link and paste it into the address bar. Neither work when linked.
rico750sxi
I'll try that thanks. Also, Nitto's site has a 275/55R20 and under their specs they list a rim size of 7.5-9.5 inches. So according to them I could put my tires on a 20x9". Now I have to save my pennies for the MB Motorings.

m396 #00-011
I swore that GM's lit for the SS says that they are 20x9" factory. I'm not 100% sure though. So, no, NO problems at all. Oops, well swearing never did me any good anyway. Stocks are 20 x 8.5" At any rate, thats fine on that tire, Actually better even. More contact patch with less roll on the bigger rim. Although .5" won't make a big difference.
SSminneapolis
the stock rims are 20x8.5 so says the chevy website.
rico750sxi
I'm thinking the stock tire wouldn't be a problem but I want to be sure.
