Holty
Well, as some of you know, this is the 3rd aftermarket exhaust i've had on my SS in less than 4months. first exhaust i had was a magnaflow cat-back, dual in, single out. it was nice, but too quiet for me. then i put the corsa sport on. again, very nice system, but too quiet for me. I was talking to Quick online the other day and told him i wasn't happy with my exhaust and he suggested i talk to Jeff at 1st Try Engineering here in Pittsburgh. Well, two days later, i finally got what i've been looking for in a exhaust setup. It consists of 2 Flowmaster 40 series mufflers and all mandrel bent, stainless steel 2.5" pipe. All TIG welded. here are the pics. man, this thing sounds AWESOME! exactly what i was looking for, and the best part about it is NO DRONE at highway speeds! Holty
oh, i forgot to mention, Bill (wkdivr) and I went to Summit Racing on saturday for the car show thing they had going on. I spoke to the Flowmaster Rep. and told him about the setup i was building. He highly recommended staggering the mufflers like i have them. He said that is what keeps the resonating (drone) from occurring in the cab because the sound waves can escape from between the mufflers. Not sure on that, but it does work in my situation. r8rs4lf
I like the Flowmaster exhaust with the Magnaflow tips, covering all the bases I see! I also like the use of the straps!
