montanass
55 psi?!?!?! thats almost poetic... 55 psi bummer deal... must be one built ford... was it the remains of a 7.3L or a 6.0L "Powerstroke"? edit: nevermind about the engine size question.... i just realized that it was an '05 ford IDIOT!!! drako
or for that matter when it goes through the blow off valve...must sound like a damn jet flying by and then exploding
kaotik1
Most diesels use internal wastegates not blow off valves. When the pressure releases it goes through the intake. Unless it is a totally custom set-up, then there may be some sort of by-pass.
drako
hmmmm....that would explain why i never hear a whoosh....learn something new everyday. pretty insane on 50+ of boost though and kaotik where the hell did the chat go? kaotik1
Not enough people used it, for the cost and space it was using up. My last diesel was pushing 35psi.. Doesn't sound like much but it was only a vw 2.0 liter

SSLink
actually i need that mp122 then i should make enough boost to walk on him <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Should be tailor-made for your stroker.
Krambo
I find the fuel pressures of modified diesels to be more impressive than the boost. ...Sounds like you were colse though. I'll bet some weight reduction will get him.
rgp6373
yeah i was thinkin of puttin on my winter wheels early they are only 18s but i have blizzaks on them and they wear out fast but that would definatly be lighter than the 22s
SSLink
Yeah, and though I have them too I gotta think on your cubes those JBA's may be bottling you up a bit. Primaries just too small. If you do go to a smaller pulley or the MP122 you might want to get some 1 3/4 - 1 7/8" long tubes, too. Bowtie70SS
I was checking out Mahle's website and they make steel pistons for that special diesel that pushes 100psi...that would take like a 8bar map sensor. Man imagine that...what kind of turbo would you need for that? Dave
zippy
That 122 would be quite a nice step up. The 112 is no where near big enough for the 6.7L's.
