Bowtie70SS
On the front page of USA Today I read the article about Toyota joining NASCAR. What a crock. There is a website started by a GM employee called Fans Against Racing Toyota or you guessed it FART I can't help but think this is just another sign of our country spiraling downward. I saw a bumper sticker recently that said "Hungry? Out of Work? Eat your foreign car." I just had to vent a little and I am by no means a big NASCAR fan but this still bugs me none the less. In the article it talked all about how Toyota is trying to worm their way into the hearts of Americans. Dave

Mr. P. No doubt. I wonder how many parts of our trucks are built someplace other than here??? It seems like whenever I look at something, it's made in mexico, or taiwanese. Im NOT a fan of Toyota going into NASCAR . The car of tomorrow is shit , it is making NASCAR into F-1 . Then it will be no more stock car racing . Stock car racing is How NASCAR came around , that and runing moon shain around .
desertss
seems now toyota is built more in america than in japan, chevy from canada, dodges from mexico, is there a true american built car anymore? i raced mini sprints for yrs with a honda engine cbr600r . on another note, i have michael waltrip in a toyota to win the daytona 500 at 250/1 odds. i put a 20 on him. also have mark martin in a chevy to win at 100/1 also have a 20 on that. also have mark martin to win the bud shootout at 50/1. Bowtie70SS
Toyota dosen't build cars here out of the kindness of their hearts...they make more money that way. It is the same reason we build stuff in Canada and Mexico...to save money. I don't think it's right to send our work out of the country. I wonder how much a Chevrolet costs in Japan? r8rs4lf
I don't think it's right to send our work out of the country.Dave I totally agree!!!! Can someone explain to me why it's such a big deal for Toyota to be competing in Nascar? As you can probably tell, I'm not into Nascar. tehoatim
Toyota has been involved in Nascar for awhile already, Truck series. They've been trying to get into Cup series for a couple of years, I don't think Nascar will turn them away since they will bring even more money to the table, afterall,Nascar is all about comercialism more than grass roots racing anymore I've been steadily losing interest in Nascar for several years mainly because of this and especially since we lost Dale Sr.
