montanass Posted December 30, 2007 Report Share Posted December 30, 2007 I've been looking into getting a dog, but am torn between 3 breeds; Basset Hound, German Shepard and Lab. I've got experience with the Shepard and Lab, but the Hound is new to me, but looks like a bad ass dog. What kind of dogs do ya'll have? Anyone with any experience with the Basset Hound? Big O Posted December 30, 2007 Report Share Posted December 30, 2007 (edited) Mostly inside/outside ... home alone/lots of attention ... other animals it will need to adapt to ... lots of room to roam/close quarters ... etc Might be somethings to consider. My family used to breed and train bird dogs ( labs mostly ) so I am kinda partial. Shepards are cool dogs, but they are a little possesive and tempermental in some situations, hound dogs bark ....
