I've owned 2 Great Danes, currently have 2 Australian Shepherds, a lab/border collie mix and a boxer. My dads wife got a pomeranian and to this day, I will never let him live that down. Going from a 110 lb Great Dane (name was CHEVY BTW) to a boxer then his wife got a pomeranian. My mom is involved in Australian Shepherd Rescue leauge and we have rescued a total of 8 dogs and placed them in homes, sadly, we failed 3 times at fostering dogs and they now live with us but I love them to death. I get very attached to my pets and it tears me up so now I have a Cockatoo named Marilyn, I've had her for about 15 years now and they have a life expectancy of 70-120 years so she will out live me. Smart, fantastic nature, good around other pets and people. They're always up for a game of fetch or tug of war or anything. If we get another dog--it will be a lab. Black of course. All 3 breeds make great pets. Good dispositions, and good with kids. All 3 breeds unfortunately have relatively short life spans.
