so how is the riviera?

 

the shell is painted sitting at my friends shop. motor/trans are built sitting in my garage. still gathering parts for the interior and trim before it goes back together.

 

as far as gearing goes, ive read from a couple of others on a different forum about going to 4.30's or 4.56's to offset the long first gear in the 80e.

What all is needed for the 80 swap?

quiet alot

 

new driveshafts (1k)

4l80 trans /converter/flexplate (3-4K)

custom cross member ( can be made or bought est 300)

either 80 output shaft to match up to the x fer case or a new gear in the x fer case to use the 80 output shaft,( the gear is the way to go)(230)

wiring for speed sensor to pcm(160)

trans files for an (80)

crank spacer (100)

 

so minumum 5-6k not including install
