Bought another SS

Recommended Posts

So after my truck was totaled last month and insurance finally finished their end of things I started hunting for another SS. I'd like to thank Blown 346 for pointing me to one that I missed in my initial searches, I ended up buying it Saturday and driving it 1500 miles home. No major issues on the trip, and here are a few pictures of stuff along the California coast with a truck in front of it.

As far as mods, here is what I know so far before diving into the giant folder of paperwork that came with it.

454 LSX Motor with L92 Heads and Intake

Baer 15" 6 Piston Front Brakes, 14.4 4 Piston Rear brakes

Fully Built 4L65E Transmission with Billet Output Shaft

3000 Stall

Hotchkis Sway Bars

Pacesetter Headers, Magnaflow Race Mufflers, High Flow Cats, electronic cutouts

Electric Fans

Volant Intake

Engraved "Chevrolet 454 SS" Red Valve Covers

22" Intro Wheels with Nitto Tires

BSER Roll Pan

Smoked Taillights

Wolf Bed Liner

Gemtop Flush Mount Tonneau Cover

Precision Liquid Grill

Tinted Windows

Chrome Bowtie, SS Symbols, and License Plate Cover

Diamondback Clear Headlights

06 Silverado Hood and Grill

McGaughys 2/3 Drop Kit with Air Bag Helper Kit

Viper Two Way Remote Start/Alarm System

Only things I plan on doing is powdercoating the grill parts, switching the back end of the exhaust from a 3rd muffler to pipe with black chrome tips, switching the chrome symbols, bowtie, and plate cover to black, and swapping the stereo, HID kits, and floor mats from my totaled truck to this one.

heck yeah thats sweet. I remember that truck being for sale on the forum here awhile back. I believe the older guy who owned it had build it and his son was trying to see it right?

I think the kid built it his dad bought it off him and the guy put it up for sale

That's pretty close yes, father and son live next to each other, son originally bought it, father bought it from him but never transferred paperwork so technically one owner truck. They both contributed to the build, it had a 408 with a blower before the 454 in it. Screen name here was Adams2003.
