AugustBurnsRed19
Okay so I am considering buying the tbss intake manifold and throttle body, thing is when I look it up all i see is problems between the throttle body and xlink on the ss silverado a couple of guys i saw kept getting the p1516 rep code until they just gave up and switched throttle bodies. and someone enlighten me i thought the stock tbss throttle body is 90mm not 87mm what is it? thanks ahead of time
chawkins6789
Im in the middle of this. My understanding is they used 87 mm and the cars got the 90 mm. I havent seen anything about a code Sent from my Samsung GS4 using Xparent Red Tapatalk
12'SROCK
As stated the cara got actual 90mm tb and l others 87mm. Just like our current is not a true 78mm either lol. I am running the ls3 tb with xlink v2 without issues but have heard of people having issues as you mentioned.
Mr.Scary
get a newere version of the xlink.. also if you have an 03 Silvy... either get teh fuel rails cut\welded, etc to keep your returnless style rails and the associate regulator or keep the TBSS rails and get an aeromotive regulator.. bypass style
GI.SS
yeup I just did the swap. used the 87mm tb with the newest version on the x link and no issues what so ever. Its an honest 20 hp gain and throttle response is more crisp with mine as well. The 07+ truck intake is the same as the TBSS and ALOT cheaper. Got mine bare for less then $100 brand new. yeup I just did the swap. used the 87mm tb with the newest version on the x link and no issues what so ever. Bnax
does someone happen to have a part number list for this build? By that i mean if you found an intake that had already been stripped parts numbers for the injectors, fuel rail ext just you could build a stock setup. I think that would make a good sticky under the bolt on section Edited August 8, 2013 by Bnax (see edit history)
GI.SS
the thing with injectors is you can use so many different ones. I used the flex fuel ones and they fit like a glove but i needed harness adapters
AugustBurnsRed19
I was told ima need pig tails, a fuel regulator, and xlink but i want to use all 90mm since the tbss has 87 can that be good for porting also i mean might as well port it as close as you can to 90mm
AugustBurnsRed19
And yeah some people would get a problem with like after or during wot it go into reduced engine power. Where did yall get the xlink from that torque rush website?
AugustBurnsRed19
Oh and Idk when it comes to the fuel regulator which size if any, and what brands are the good ones I don't want the cheapest one around
canadianVRss
Yes from the torque rush site. Get the new model. I haven't had a single problem with it running a LS3 90mm.

AugustBurnsRed19
Okay now what fuel regulator?
GI.SS
I wouldn't port the intake. Your taking away from its structural integrity. Plus guys with boost have seen them flex and crack. The 3mm difference is not worth even the thought of going threw the hassle of it.
