LSR Mike
Stuff I use doesn't come out of a Pump. $5 Gallon, 110 Octane (not used in the SS) Have you raised your static compression ratio? otherwise, don't waste the money.
steve summers
110 is about $5 a gallon here as well, we use it in our 2 stroke quads that have been modified to require higher octane. I can't see any benefit in running higher than 93 in the SS.
azRedss
i thought i could use it when i go to the friday night drags. would it be bad to do that? all i got in my ss is flowmasters and cold air intake, i am running low 15s with 91, do you think i can get high 14s if i use 101? thanks guys
Xero
a101 octane dosent increase horespower. all it does is make the gasoline more stable and less likely to detonate (knock) with fi engines and high horsepower engines. unless you have a turbo/supercharger/ really high compression on a naturally asperated engine....dont waste your money
shootingshark
I also run the c-12 in my quad it's up to 6.50 a gallon now. I wouldn't waste it on the SS even though it does smell so fine burnin

haulin79
With race gas, you can increase your timing which can help with making more power before detonation. How much more power? I don't know.
Xero
yea BUt all the race fuel does is decease the risk of detonation by making the gas more stable. because of this you can change the timing. becuase of the decease in the risk of detonation you can run higher boost levles without worrying about the engine blowing up....the fuel dosent give you any power...and thats what he asked
haulin79
You are correct. It will not help him unless he has a reprogrammer etc...
