Yeah mine does shake even at low speeds and it does have play in it when closed, which makes me think the latch is messed up. Can anyone snap a pic of where there's sits in the latch so i can see if mine is way off. Thanks

It was in an accident and replaced......i got a smokin deal on it from a family friend it was light damage but the hood was replaced bcuz he knew it was goin to me. I just dont think it seats all the way down it is not tight i can actually move it around where my brothers 05 is solid no play at all. When i push down in the center of the hood to get that u bolt or whatever you call that on the hood to the bottom of the latch....I can tell there is not going to be any play there.....so how do i get it to stay there?

OK so my hood has a shake at highway speeds that is pretty noticeable, it has had it since i bought the truck. Well i am finally sick of it and want to fix it, can someone take a pic of where the bar off the hood should sit in the latch i think my latch is messed up. It does not sit all the way at the bottom and has play i can move the hood like a good 1/8" when it is shut. Any help is welcome. Thanks

I have a kit from 12 Rocks and those are fine I have had 0 problems with them.

Not the end links no......There are 2 threaded rods where that come down and the sway bar bolts up to it......the one on the driver side i messed up or it was not quite sure how or what happened but i cant get a nut threaded on it past the point of the messed up threads.

Ok I looked at it and there was part of some threads actually missing if that makes sense it looked like just one ridge is gone ......still think this will work ?? Or can that stud be removed ??

Ok so I am an idiot.....I replaced my front diff this past weekend, and I took the sway bar down to remove the diff. Well somehow i messed up the threads on one of the bolts that hooks up to the sway bar. I tried to put the nut back on but no dice it just hits a point and stops any ideas on what to do about this?

Well I just put the new one in yesterday.....i actually got a brand new one for around 900 bucks so it is no longer grinding which is great, not sure where the guy found a new one for that price but i was pretty happy with that price

so turns out the guy i bought the first one from cant find me another used one with low miles, but he did find a brand new GM one for 100 dollars more then what i paid for the used so thats what im going with.

Yes that is what i am thinking it could be off an avalanche b/c i think they have the 4:10s in them.......luckily I know the guy that owns the junkyard ....and he is pissed they told him it came of a denalli, he had to get it from another salvage yard.......hey came down and took both back to his place with him and said he will find me one or get it rebuilt from a quality tranny shop up by him......but still sux as this is my dd so i had to get my old truck out and it doesnt run well.

So by some chance these are the 4:11 gears ....would this be possible ?? thats all i would need is the switch with the harness right ??

Right, but all regular 4x4's come with the 3:73's i think thats why this wont work right ??

Ok so I thought all just standard 4x4's have the 3:73 gears.......so this would not work ......but the guy said this came out of a denalli which i dont believe bcuz as far as i know they are all time AWD....and thats all i can think of that that actuator does is engage the 4 wheel drive

Ok so i picked up this used Diff this afternoon and took mine out well i reaized this front diff has an electrical connection mine does not ???.......This is supposed to be out of an 05 Denalli which i believe all are AWD ......so this connection just has me questioning what this diff came out of anyone know if this will still work or am i SOL ...... This one is mine This is the used one

Anyone have a used one or know of a place to get a used one for a decent price ??

Thanks I will check it out when i put it in.....turns out these front differentials are harder to find than one would think

well i drained the fluid and theres metal shavings in the fluid so im screwed its the differential..........priced them out for a used differential its anywhere from 400-700 and for a remanufactured one i priced was like 1800 so im goin with a used one. I talked to the dealer i work with and he said its not that hard to replace the differential so im gonna do it myself.

Ok so the shop said the noise is coming from the front differential........I also have the questions how much and can i do it myself ??

So i took mine in yesterday to the place i purchase all my tires, really good guys family shop. They said it was my wheel bearing so i had that replaced well that didnt work. So I am dropping it off at lunch back there today. What other bearings could it be on the driver side ??

this isnt just a noise bcuz i can hear it under my feet........and it was never there b4 I am gonna take it in to get it looked at tomorrow

I have noticed that the noise stops when i am off the throttle but as soon as i go back on it makes the noise again.....I am assuming that if it was the differential it would make noise all the time right ??

So my cruise finally started working again a cpl days ago, but no i have a front end noise sort of a grinding like noise right under the pedals it seems like. What can this possibly be im gonna look at it this weekend just kinda looking for some ideas as to what i should look at. Thanks

So just as you guys said my cruise started working today must have been the snow ....but why do speed sensors freeze up or something ?
