spinnin' ain't winnin!!!

spinning the tires s;ightly makes up for a lower stall, helps the engine rev quicker, and get into its power band quicker

i think tracks need to regulate which vehicles get to run....14.99 and below...
-
try higher octane to eliminate it as your problem
-
60 to 80 hp does not make up for the extra 2000 pounds...LOL>
-
what were your 60 ft times 4wd & 2wd? Did you try auto 4wd, dont know how bad it would be for the transfer case

There is really no clearing w/the 408, you jus need to have pistons for the large crank, more specifically piston#8. you do not need to notch the block as with past chevy 350 blocks. Summit racing, has the eagle complete kit for $2200. I believe

thanks, good info for when my motor needs a rebuild...had to notch the block when doing my 360/408 dodge stroker

mopar stage 3 kits produce 310 hp and 325 ft tq with high octane they do 355 hp 365 tq... factory warranty too almost made me want to buy one, but it still is a neon/rental car

any clearancing involved with the 408?
-
408? thought that was a mopar # 360/408
how do you get away with only pistons and rods with no crank? under gring it?
-
sounds like you blew a head gasket out toward the oil galley, start with the head. i had a 1.8 turbo jetta and it is common to find oil down into the intercooler.

i know a guy who lives hear in so cal who swapped a ls1 into a 98 4dr gmc jimmy and got it to be smog legal, had to take it to the ref. and got a new door sticker, totally legit

is that in 4 wheel drive?
-
just something else to collect dust-downgrade-

racing an F-150 is a waste of gas money unless it is a lightning, well that is one more point for team chevrolet

most likely a poor alignment job, i had a firestone dealer do an alignment on my truck and they left one of the tie rod jam nuts loose, another shop aligned my brothers 2500dmax and told him his rear axle was bent!!! this wasn't true at all, the tech was too lazy and did not properly calibrate the rear tire sensors.
