  1. only 1.5 hr. thats quick, the pumps in my companys work vans all seem to go between 60 and 80k
  2. too much power for most here 700+ crank horse near stock on speed channel shootout!!
  3. i drive a chevy express 3500 wan with a 6.0L for work, the older vans had read drum brakes and would need front brabe service every 25k and the new van with rear disc brakes just got its first front brake job @ 75k, and thats not easy driving either!!!! of course drum brakes last longer, thats because the dont work. and of course this is from a guy with rear drums on his truck
  4. i agree with that, personally i would never buy a 5th wheel, ive seen too many trucks damaged by the trailers in the glamis/offroad community, not worth the headache, and if i were to buy one id buy a long bed truck to haul it with

  9. if you are running the stock tire and wheel set up then your good to go but beware of low-pro car performance tires
  10. welcome to so-cal, home of the afteremarket industry and way too many illegals..
  11. check your payload rating (weight you can carry in the bed) first, also check your tires and check their load capacity! with a fifth wheel most of the weight is on the truck compared to a pull behind trailer where the weight car be distributed with a weight distribution hitch to the front of the truck and onto the trailer, plus fifth wheel hitches are ugly and take up all your bed space. after all those things are ok you will need to add air helper bags so the back end of your truck doesnt drag on the ground. One more thing.... does anyone even make a fifthwheel trailer whose GVWR loaded is less then 10k?
  12. what intake are you running? ive just got a brop in K&N with the bottom of the air box drilled out, just figured the maf was dirty, but no further issues.
  13. sorry, no pics this time, lame i know...
  14. deff need a brake controller, easy hook up, think mine is a takaguya or sometimng like that, see your local RV store, i also use the electric shock button on the dash to reduce the bounce
  15. ive got a fb2100 weekend warrior superlite, i ride an 06 raptor 700 and the wife has an 08 kfx450r and was also hauling a z400
  16. went out to pismo beach (250 miles) this labor day weekend with the trailer fully loaded with quads and had a great weekend with only minor troubles. First thing i did when we got to the beach was get stuck so bad my friends diesel couldent get me out, had to un hook the trailer and air down to nothin' . the diesel had to hook up to the trailer and my truck pull him out of the soft stuff. my best investment was a 100$ 30ft tow strap... This was my first real trip pulling that amount of weight and got about 9.5 mpg going about 65. was happy with the power and very glad i chose this truck and the 4x4. on the way home was the only glitch with the truck, going up a steep grade it threw a CEL, called ON-star and they said it was a code to do with the intake system, and to keep on driving. code went away after a couple of stops, the MAF probally got some K&N oil on it and just needs a cleaning.............. overall good weekend.
  17. comes with the joint, let it roll till it wears out then raplace or at next alignment
  18. thats the reason i always keep my trailer hitch on/ saves some damage
  19. buy a used vet for the price of a new sti, and better gas milage too!!
  20. no burn intended.... the zex systems use an all in one solenoids/relay/controller/switch box very easy set up and they integrate a tps 5v signal switch to activate the system.....very cool, but what if you have the valve go bad?! they also use standard external valves too though.
  21. the factory fans on my truck also vary speed depending on cooling needs so they dont just turn on blazing fast
  22. ive got stock wheels with 285/70/17 mud tires, yeah same kit, might just be the knobbies on my tires
