  1. What kind of times do they run stock?

Low 14's. It all depends on how one does the sy-ty shuffle at launch. If one knows how to spool the turbo up using the D-N-rev-D approach, they can launch like a bat out of hell and reduce ET. Going off an idle, they are not that impressive IMHO.

  2. For your higher mileage engine...does it "use" a little more oil than it used to or does it burn a little out the pipes? If you find yourself topping off the oil inbetween changes, you may wish to check your oil pressure. If it is a bit lower than when new, your bearings could be wearing to the point where a heavier oil may be in order (10W30). I often switch to a heavier oil around 100k in my beater cars.

  3. 1. Make it a numbered edition.

    2. Give it some SNOT, not just the biggest off the shelf truck engine. (hint: LSA package???)

    3. Make it Unique, not just a badged half ton with a wheel package.

GM seems to "please the masses" and go with their top selling platform, give it the biggest off the shelf truck engine and do some cosmetics as an afterthought. Regardless, I will be in the market...let's see if GM will give us what we are looking for.

  4. How about sig size? They are out of control too.....what happened to the old forum rule of 700 x 200 and no larger?

Absolutely Dan. Sig picture size rules still apply! There are thousands of members with picture signatures. We are working on the offenders.

  5. It's at a dealer, but i intend to lay cash on the table and beat them up as much as possible.

Yep, pick it apart! If they do not budge on the price, ask for a complete service on the truck (since it is a dealer)...engine oil, tranny, diffs, t-case, grease, spark plugs and a fresh state INSPECTION.

    Good luck!

BTW, dealers prefer financing. They get a kickback from the bank...usually only like $500 however it is still money to the dealer. Play the game!
