  1. I would pulley down your blower for the same or more power at this point IMHO.

Change to a recessed plug (BR7EFS - NGK) and watch your fueling. I have tuned as much as 125 shot on 10lbs of boost with good success. Do not go too rich or you will blow a ring land. Common tuning will have a semi rich condition for boost however for Nitrous, rich is just as bad as lean. It is a very delicate balance.

  2. Rob,

I can't help but believe this post is in some way directed to me. I do my best to help everyone, however, my priority is and always has been my family, career and personal health. What is left over I divide between my hobbies, relaxation and pursuit of personal goals. I have had a few life changinng events in my life over the past 5 years leading me to re-evaluate how I spend my time. I don't participate in badmouthing, internet games or even social media sites (Facebook) as that is not my style nor do I have time for it.

I am always up for a phone call but physically helping with installs or reserving my garage for an extended install is out of the question at this time. I can help with tuning however it needs to be on my schedule and most likely will not be desireable for your expectations. I am sorry.

That said, I really enjoy working on cars/trucks and talking shop, either on the net, phone or in person. I will continue to poke around all of my usual auto sites and I am sure I will see you soon. My apology if there was a misunderstanding that I was going to offer extensive help with your build as that was not my intention. Ask around, I have been declining MANY. If I can't give 100%, I give 0%...personal policy.

Best of luck with your new installs! From what we discussed, you will have a great running truck. Talk to you soon

  3. Don't call me a pessimist, I am just an optimist with experience in this area. I pretty much maxed out a 112 on a 6.0L and even used 50/50 meth. I hardly saw a gain with the meth (confirmed with dyno tuning). It did help with fueling though if you are maxing out your injectors. Wasn't worth the effort for me.

If you dig around, I posted some very long posts on this topic like 5 years ago.

  4. You are going to need more than 1000whp to get into the 9's. Thats about how much chases truck produces and he ran 10.7.

Agree. I figure I put down 800 to the wheels and just made the 10's. It isn't so much the raw HP as it is where the entire system maximizes the available power. Gearing, tires, suspension, weight is just as important as making 1k to the wheels.

Oh, and if you are building from scratch, I would budget $75 - 100k for a 9 second AWD SS if you are not doing the wrenching /tuning/troubleshooting...

Good luck and keep us posted!

  5. The tunes posted in there are for reference only. Do not load a tune into your truck other than your own tune. Tuning is alot more complicated than just finding someone's hacked up work and using it. I wouldn't recommend it.

    AMEN.

I must say, I have downloaded dozens of tune files from the repository to compare only. There are a few that I was very concerned with. An unknowing HPT user can really damage their engine with a few click and copies.
