  1. Sell a barely used LS3 90mm (gold plate) throttle body. Was one the truck for about 6-8 months but only has a couple hundred mile on it.....if that. Wasn't even on long enough to get and black carbon build up on it. Two of the mounting holes were enlarged to work on my J-tube but this does not hurt the integrity of the unit and does not leak. I will post pictures of it tonight when I get home. Asking $140 shipped or would trade for a stock 4L80e converter.
  2. Another example of what we have to deal with in AZ.... http://phoenix.craigslist.org/evl/cto/3709929877.html
  3. Not a problem sir! I'm glad you are happy with it!
  4. And thats what we have to deal with because we live in Arizona...
  5. Yes it was unfortunately. That's also the reason I was able to only get 2 runs in and it took about 4 1/2 hours.
  6. Thought I would share a vid of the G8 at the rack this friday. I was really hoping to break into the 12s but a 13.015 will have to do. Traction is my only issue.
  7. Lol nice! Well give me a call if you have any questions. I did the majority of my installs myself so I know 1 or 2 things lol.
  8. Sounds like fun. I'll be there in spirit lol. Too bad you weren't closer
  9. Like the title states. I'm looking to trade by basically brand new LS3 90mm (gold plate) throttle body for an LS2 90mm (silver plate) throttle body. Would consider buying one out right if the price was right.
  10. I'm running e85 in my G8 and noticed a big difference in power. The G8 is lighter than the truck though. You will also notice a big difference in MPG since it takes about 30% more e85 to get the same combustion as gasoline. I went from about 16-17 city MPG to about 9-11 MPG on e85. e85 is about 60 cent cheaper than 91 so it kind of balances out. Depending on the availability of e85 stations I would recommend the swap. It will definitely make it harder if you try to go on long trips since you will have to plan your route around e85 stations. Invest in HP tuners or EFI live so you can have a tune for each a swap and necessary.
  11. This! A Kurt Urban water vapor system will help with that.
  12. I'm not looking for top speed. They way it sits now I wouldn't even use 3rd and 4th at the track and since 1st and 2nd are so long the truck dosen't feel like it has 500hp
  13. Dude you have one hell of a project on your hands. Looks like fun lol. I was just wonder because I either want to go with 4.10s or 4.56 gears. Mine definitely isn't a dog down low, it's more of a dog up top but that is because my first gear winds out at 60 mph and 2nd goes to 90 mph.
  14. Three engines and trans in 10k miles? Or did I just read that wrong? Either way should be a nice build. If you don't mind me asking what is your 1st gear mph at redline with your 4l80 with 4.10s?
  15. He checked all that out. Zippy said there was a small vacuum leak at the throttle body but that was about it.
  16. PM or call me and I can help you diagnose the gauge cluster. I can fix the gear indicator for you but want to make sure the gauge is bad before you spend any money. Thanks, Steve http://www.gmgaugeguy.com/
  17. Just bolt ons. Mods are in my sig. I'm pretty much done with it even though I would love to throw a cam in it... especially since the stock cam is a little over .400 lift. An easy 50+ hp can be gained with the right cam set up. Well I have been so frustrated with the truck and so busy with gauges that I haven't really had time to work on it much. The next step is to pull the trans....yet again, and send the converter back to Precision to get it tightened up. I also still need to figure out why the rpms fluctuate at parking lots speeds and eventually kill the engine. I really just need to drive it out to Zippy in Vegas and drop it off and let him get it right for me. It was a lot easier when he was only a half hour away from me.
  18. Well I was getting the G8 aligned yesterday and since it was already on the rack I decided to have it dynod. Results came out to 335hp and 352tq with just a base tune. I'm hoping to see closer to 350 once the tune gets dialed in. The car sounds loud in the vid but is 10 times louder in person lol.
  19. Yes. Obviously not an SS but you get the idea.
  20. Thanks alot guys! To answer a few questions. No we do not do the rest of the interior. We are still looking into it though. Unfortunately it is very time consuming, which means pricey too. Just the LED conversion runs $100 We have white and red needles instock for $50 installed. Turn around time is usually 24hrs or less. Once we receive your cluster we will have it shipped back out to you the next business day.
  21. Those are pretty sweet looking. Kinda like the camaro rims except way more spokes
  22. Well guys I thank everyone enough for all the recommendations and spreading the word about GM Gauge Guys. The Better Business Bureau has received quite a few compliments about us and have actually been calling us to get accredited through them. So we decided to go through with it. Thanks again guys! Here's some other photos I have taken recently with an upgraded camera. Light Blue with white Needles Red with Stock orange Needles Purple with white needles
  23. Add the brand of tire you are running. Each different brand and size of tire will weigh different.
