Maybe I'm wrong but in my experience, if its low enough or empty the compressor will not come on. There is a low pressure switch that cycles the compressor to maintain a range of pressure on the low side(big ac line). If its below a set pressure it doesn't allow it to come on. I agree if its just low it would TRY to run all the time, but the compressor would constantly cycle off and on because of the pressure switch.

If it was getting warmer and now not engaging, its low on refrigerant brother!

He is still in business. He owns his own shop now (super street performance) and I imagine very busy. I tried to setup tuning last summer and it took a few days for a call back, but that is the right number.

I had this fight happen to me when I had a parked two door tahoe that got hit. it had 180k on the clock but they low balled me. I let them know it wasnt easy to replace and it was worth more than they valued it at. I went on auto trader , looked for similar trucks with the accessories I had and mileage. All in all they ended giving me about 1.5 times the original offer based on what I found. Worth a shot IMO.

had this happen randomly it was the throttle position sensor was faulty. came and went.. I would look into it. sounds like the same problem.

Not that I know anything about supercharging. But in the hydronic heating world it is possible for fluid to be pumped too fast which would cause your symptoms. Why? because the fluid is going thru the cooler too fast and doesnt have enough time to reject the heat. It is the same in the air conditioning in your truck if you slow the fan it will actually blow cooler air because the air has more time for the heat to be absorbed by the evaporator. Kind of the same principle in the heating side. If that all makes sense anyways....haha. Loving your truck and makes me want a supercharger.

replace oil sender. If thats not it, most likely the o- ring on the pickup tube. they crack and cause suction loss to the pump.
