  2. just installed a full set of the Belltech Street Performance last week, They did soften up the ride , WAY better than the stockers the previous owner left on after the drop,,,The guy had went to the trouble of installing, Belltech spindles, Shackles , Hangers, Front & Rear Belltech sway bars,,,But left on the stock shocks I guess it rides pretty good for a lowered Reg cab, there's not alot a weight on the rear, Havn't heard much of any other shocks for lowered trucks
  3. 04 reg cab,,,,2/4 belltech drop,,,, Stock SS 20'',,,, with a 275/45/20
  4. well if ya can find someone in your area to buy them I'd say they're worth between $275-$350 for that entire setup, just depends how bad they want them, a salvage yard in my area gets $100 per seat & $75.00 for the center jump seat, but if ya gotta ship em it's crazy, It was gonna cost me $125 just to ship a console UPS,,So I just parted it out,,,
  5. even though Summit is pretty fast to ship most items, they don't keep these Frame support brackets in stock, they're drop-shipped directly from DJM so expect to wait 2-3 weeks for them to arive, but that was the case everywhere I found them & Summit was cheapest.
  6. Yep same part# for all 99-07 classic body style, extended or reg-cab doesn't matter, I used this same part# for all three trucks I did,,, 99 extended cab,,06 Silverado SS,,,& now an 04 Reg-cab.
  7. well it just depends on what size tires your running, all the trucks I've done this on I ran a 275/45/20 cause I think it just goes great with a 4" rear drop, & I've never had an issue at all with any rubbing,,,now if you were to run the stock SS tires you would pushing it,,,
  8. I installed a GM 6-Disc head unit in my 04 silverado and had to have it programmed to my Vin#,,,It showed locked untill I had it programed at dealership, They charged me 1/2 hr labor
  9. Ok I am by far NO expert , This is just something I have done to the last three lowered Silverados I've owned , And I was surprised at the fact that alot of members on here have trucks with 3" drops or lower, and most have just lived with that annoying bang from the rear axle hitting the frame,,,,And unless I just missed it I havn't seen the first post talking about these DJM frame supports,,,$109.95+shipping http://www.summitracing.com/parts/DJM-FK2599-C/ Like I said this is my 3rd truck I've put these on, 99 ex-cab,,,06 Silverado SS,,, And now my 04 reg-cab. Now these are recomended for trucks with a 6" flip kit, & years ago Belltech told me It's not needed on a 3/4 drop,,,Well they must only drive on perfect streets because Every Silverado I've had with a 4'' rear drop the axle slams the frame with any hard bump at all. Until I install these then, No more Bang:) Here's a list of the tools I recomend for the job: Floor jack Jack stands Reciprocating saw (have a few extra blades handy) Corded Drill (Higher amp if possible) Drill Bits (step up from small too 1/2") C-Clamp 3/4 deep well sockets & wrench Saftey Glasses-(even with a spare why risk one) Allow yourself 3-4 hrs to complete 1. Get some jackstands under the axles,(remove wheels) 2. With the axle at it's highest point,,,make a mark on the frame even with the center of the axle,,,,, DO NOT CONSIDER FACTORY BUMP STOP LOCATION CENTER POINT!!! It Changed when ya lowered it so be sure to find center of axle with AXLE ON JACKSTANDS SUPPORTING TRUCK,,,,, 3. Trace out frame support on frame (I did this by 1st cutting it out of cardboard then tracing on frame) Few Things you HAVE to do BEFORE cutting frame: 4. Support frame closer to the cab to prevent frame from bowing when cut.(I also placed floor jack under rear hitch) 5. Lower rear axle while keeping truck supported (Gets the leafs and hubs out of your way while you cut) 6. On Drivers Side,,Be sure to MOVE BRAKE LINE & WIRES from inside frame rail or they WILL GET CUT. 7. Cut out the Pattern you traced on frame. 8. Use a C-Clamp to hold Frame Support Bracket in place.(be sure the slanted end faces cab) They don't come marked right & left,,and one end is slightly bent to match frame. 9. Drill holes, I started with a 11/64 bit for 1st hole, then stepped it up with a 1/4 bit, Then finished with The 1/2" I drilled two of the outter holes, installed one bolt on each end THEN drilled remaining holes And finished it up by installing the remaining bolts
  10. If know anyone that runs a bodyshop you can see if they'll try and get it through a local GM dealership, Thats what I did, I don't remember the exact price but I think it was right at $290.00 with a bodyshop discount,,I know it was cheaper than the SS grill I had to pay $345.00 for it.
  11. saw this on ebay, if it goes for starting price it could be a cheap project, from the pics it looks as if it WAS an SS,,but for some reason the cladding was removed & the complete interior was removed & replaced with tan,I get the feeling it was gonna be a repo so they parted it out, but it still has the 6.0 and awd, make a good sleeper http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Chevrolet-S...398176202#v4-36
  12. I'm gonna do like you did if I can't find a good deal on a used one, I don't have a broken one to send in first so I'll have to pay the $440 up front & wait for the refund,, I've never been to that site but I'll try and find him , Thanks for the info
  13. wanna buy one, but don't wanna pay new price right now , hoping to luck up on a good deal on a used one ,,,,
  14. it took me a second to get it,,but once I looked a little closer
  15. omg did they put an edge on that lightpole?
  16. I'm working on it, I'd have more to spend but everytime I pay my pills, They send me more the next month
  17. I ended up giving $700 to boot for the SS 20's, cladding, and console. Then I paid just over $600 for new tires, but we both got what we were looking for & It'll be worth it when I finally get the cladding on, I can tell that from the pics of yours.
  18. well I liked the way the 22" replicas looked but at the time the prevous owner that bought them didn't allow for the 2/3 drop and got too big a tire & they rubbed pretty bad, And rather than spending a ton to get smaller 22" tires I just traded another member my 22's & some cash for chrome SS 20's & all the SS cladding,,,,
  19. Was the donor truck the same year as yours? I think thats the issue most have when switching seats,,They seamed to change the wiring a little from 03-05, I think it's only an issue if you get seats from a different year truck, & then it's easlily fixable, just gotto get the wires matched up,,,
  20. well the rebuilder I had bought the truck from did it for me, I'm not positive exactly what he did,,,But from what I remember he just moved the wires around in the seat harness so they matched up to the truck harness,, He said that for some reason GM changed the order of the wires around but kept all the same wires & plugs,,,I think he just had to match up the colors,,,as for my SS,,,, I had bought it as a recoved theft,,,The rebuilder had replaced everything with OEM parts accept the wheels & seats, So I replaced that when I bought it,,,Then I made a stupid decision to sell it and have missed it ever since,,Thats why I'm gonna make this Reg-cab a true clone with cladding and all,,,Got all the cladding & center console from "Gasemall" just hav'nt had the cash to get it all painted blue,,,,
  21. I found out the hard way that 07 Vortec Max was by far the faster 6.0,,,(Back when I still had my ss) It was all I could do to beat one with WAY less mods than my SS, Here were my mods:(2wd 06 SS) 160*statt / MSD wires / Coolant bypass / CAI / Magnaflow Exhaust / Pacesetter Lt's / NO Cats / Wheatley Tune,,, Here were his mods:(2wd 07 Vmax) CAI / Dynomax muffler / Hypertech handheld I BARELY Beat him a truck length through the 1/4 and if we went on past the 1/4 mark he would PASS ME. so YES there is one hell of a difference between the two,,,,Even though the 07 was only rated like 22hp more than the 06 SS, It seemed Way faster.
  22. sweet, can't wait till I get all my cladding on so I can start working on finding seats for my reg-cab, Do you think you'll have an issue with your airbag sensor in the seats? Reason I ask is I bought my 06-SS as a recovered theft,,So I had to replace a few things the thugs had took, including seats, I bought a leather set from an 05 Silverado and had to have someone switch the wires around in the seat harness to get my airbag light to stay off,,, I read somewhere that you can just change out the sensor in the seats, anyways just thought I'd mention it so you know whats up if your airbag light comes on after putting in the seats,,,
  23. I was wandering the same thing myself, I'm prolly gonna go with the Belltech Street Performance front & rear on my Reg-cab, I ran them on the front of my SS and they seemed to really absorb the bumps better, I'm guessing they'll be the best for the money, looked on Summit & I can get all four shocks for about $250 shipped. My SS had a 2/4 drop, & my RCSB has a 2/3 with stock shocks still in place, I just ordered a DJM C-Notch/frame support and as soon as I get that done I'll be ready for shocks.
  24. and colormatch those handles & mirrors
