"risolone" I'll have to try that,Thanks Yes it gets faster as the rpms go up,,It pretty much does it all the time, I've also noticed it after running hwy speeds as well,, it's not noticable in the cab,,just when the sound bounces back off a wall like at a drive thru,, It's coming from the drivers side of the engine, At first it sounds like its coming from the collectors till I put the truck on ramps & left it running,,,once I got under the truck it seems to be coming from just below the head,,All header bolts are tight and no signs that they've ever leaked. The truck only has around 30,000 on it,,But it was a theft recovery so you know the old saying,," Drive it like you stole it " I'm sure they did,,And I've ran it pretty hard since I added a Wheatley tune & Headers,,,So I guess I must have damaged the Lifter driving it hard?

I've had this ticking/clicking noise for a few months now,,It got worse after installing my Pacesetters,,A good buddy of mine thats a mechanic says he's pretty sure it's a Lifter. He also said On these engines the Lifters can't be adjusted, & we will have to take the Heads off to replace the Lifters? I asked him what could happen if I don't fix it right away he said It could end up bending a push rod and would start missing pretty bad,,,,Does this all sound right? after replacing my electric meter from the ice storm, and spending around $700.00 on Headers and exhaust I just don't have the extra ca$h to replace the Lifters right now,,But since it's my daily driver I just gotta ride it out for now till I can swing having this done, It sounds like a pretty big job, What Lifters should I go back with,,,All I have is Headers & a Tune so would oem replacements be ok?

hey Terry, not that this will help but,,, my wifes Grand Prix makes a noise when taking off and it sounds alot like your saying,,,It only does it for a split second then you don't hear it anymore Wish I could help your always there with tips for everyone else,,,Anyone else have a clue???

I may be looking at it wrong,,,but I think your Bowtie is upside down, compare it to the SS emblems on your door,,It looks like ya need to flip it over,,,I like that hood,,,What brand is it?

Sick truck !!! I was thinking bout ordering a Billet grill,,,After seeing how good it looks with black I'm ordering today.

Damn sure gotta try the "SEA FOAM",,,I was having a slight ruff idle,,,I'd tried cleaning Mass airflow,,Throttle body,,nothing helped,,,Till (Fireman31) told me to run a can of Sea-Foam through it. It Idles SOOO much smoother now. I don't know whats in that can,,,But it DOES work. Thanks Fireman

I think you can change those settings using the buttons on your steering wheel, I know on my 06 SS I can,,

Question,,,Can these factory fog lights be wired up straight 12v with a togo swtch like the walmart type fogs???? or do they have to have something that changes the voltage???? I've found a set but don't have factory wiring & was planning to just use a togo switch mounted somewhere outta the way. will this work?

If you have an SS,,,You don't have coil springs. You will have Torsion bars instead. You'll have to use either Drop Spindles & or Keys for the front. & Shackles & Hangers out back,,,Or maybe a flip kit.

It's noticable at Idle but not bad unless I'm close to a building like at a drive thru then it gets kinda embarissing, sounds like an old beater with blown donut gaskets,,,also hear the clicking while driving along if ya really listen. MSD wires. just painted coils,,,

I really hate to cover up those nice ceramic coated Pacsetters with some header wrap,,But I'm wandering if wrapping them will quiet down some of the Header clicking, I'm only hearing it under the cab so I thought about wrapping from just above the collectors back as far as the wrap will go,, (AFTER I inspect it one more time to make sure It's not an exhaust leak causing the clicking) Once the wrap has been on for some time, will the finish be the same if I remove it? And is there any trick to making sure the wrap stays in place ?

Gonna get some Seafoam tonight,,,Thanks I ran my stock pcm while Wheatley retuned my other for my new mods,,It seemed to do it then as well just not as noticable,, I tried cleaning it best I could with with it still on the truck yesterday, I'm fixing to remove it to get the back side, I'll let you know if this helps, Thanks

So did it still do it after they cleaned the throttle body,,,or was it in the pcm? I opened my throttle body up and wiped it out the best I could with smoe Mass Air Flow cleaner,,I may need to take it off and clean it like I had to my 99, I assume it's the same setup? just a couple bolts and it comes off ?

So I just take it to a local Dealership & have it done? What all does it involve? yep Pacestter Lt's, came with the block off plate , Intalled that 1rst.

22" magnaflow, Daul 2.5 in & Dual 2.5 out, with internal X-pipe, dumped before the axle,,,It sounds great outta the muffler,,,It's just in the area of the header collectors that this annoying clicking and rattle sound comes from,,,I've been told it's because the header tubes are way thinner than manifolds but It makes it sound like an old beater with blown donut gaskets,,But I can't find any leaks,,just sounds like the sounds kinda soaking through the headers,,I'm gonna get it up on a rack again and have another exhaust guy inspect it for leaks,,But I may just have to live with it,,I did gain 2 lengths in the 1/4

like it says , I've saw alot of these for sale on here but not sure who's still got them so pm me if ya got the 03-05 billet 5-pcs grill inserts or headlight covers new or used in good shape,

I added Pacetter Lt's and deleted my cats about a week ago, & the clicking around the collectors is really starting to bug me. I knew It would be louder without the cats but the clicking is bad,,I've checked over & over and can't find an exhaust leak,,It seems to be comming from the collector area,, I was curious what do Resonators do??? could they quiet down the clicking sound? I also kinda got a ruff Idle too, I mainly notice it when I go from drive to park,,The rpm's drop down below 500, and it sounds like it dies,,then it picks back up and just seems to Idle kinda ruff,,,almost sounds like a cam lope,,But I don't have a cam,,I've checked my plugs,,cleaned my mass airflow sensor, & put my stock wires back on and nothing seems to help,,,Any Ideas?

Thats what I did, 22" magnaflow dumped just before the axle,,,Sounded more like a performance car exhaust to me,,I loved it, I recentley added Long tube Headers and did away with my cats and it's still not as loud as most trucks you hear,, Go with the 2.5" Dual in /Dual out with the internal X-pipe you'll have just the sound your looking for. Slightly louder than stock but free flowing. I searched around on Ebay till I found one for like $130,,,,Jegs and Summit price was like $230
