  1. if the 2101 keeps resetting then the prob should be fairly easy to locate. this code sets when the actual throttle angle doesnt match the desired/commanded angle. can you watch these peramiters on your laptop?
  2. theres a PI on the p2101 to check the connector the the throttle body/tac module for poor crimps and broken wires inside the insulation. as for the 3001,3004, those dtc's are unsupported on a 2wd 06 pickup, could be a software/programing issue.
  3. U1000 is a genaric communication code. what modules have that code stored?
  4. If the guages have been installed for a while then ur right, thats not the issue.just odd that it would start after you were workin in there. there arnt any grounds or anything in that area anyways, at least none that would result in a no start. get the battery load tested, it could just be the battery on its way out. if it tests good then its time to do a draw test and find out whats causing the battery to discharge.
  5. bad ground won't cause a draw. more than likely you powered up those guages from a source that has constant battery power and they're drawing voltage from the battery even with the key off. where did you pwr the guages up from?
  6. such a low mileage failure after just being rebuilt is almost always the result of an assembly error. always get a warranty!
  7. he def was, and he puked in my truck on the way home, i managed to pull over and get him almost all the way out, just got a little on the sill plate... so tanks on the wagon till further notice.lol
  8. big thanks to mike for throwin a great party despite the rain. def had a good time . sorry tank puked in your garage mike. lol
  9. if the fluid is full, your truck would have to be standing on its nose to get air in the system. more than likely a vacum supply problem or a master cylinder as a couple other guys mentioned. check for brake fluid leaking from between the booster and master cylinder.
  10. left work thursday night headed to mx practice, spotted a black sss headed north on rt 12 just past the auburn mall. just wondering if was anyone from the site...
  11. flashing ses light indicates a "catalyst damaging misfire". you stated you need cats anyways, but its hard to tell if they are the cause, or the effect, of the misfire. as fireman31 stated, could be a bad injector, or even an ignition misfire that caused the cats to go bad in the first place. your dealer gave you new cats to weld in? gm cats come as part of the front pipe, no welding required, sounds like they screwed ya. also be very carefull about the type of cat you install, 95% of all aftermarket cats are complete garbage and will cause a repeat failure. whats your mileage and mods?
  12. I wish idiots like that didnt own chevys. makes us look bad. what a douche
  13. all the talk about how flushing a trans is bad for it and will cause problems ,is a complete load of crap. gm doesn't even schedule filter replacement anymore, just a fluid flush around 50k, or wheneva the fluid starts to get a brownish tint. i've personally done hundreds of flushes with not 1 single problem. the only time i would be hesitant about performing a flush, is on a vehicle with extremely high mileage (100k plus) that has no trans maintinence record at all. and fireman31 is correct, droping the pan only allows about half the fluid out. but props to you for doin it yourself your secret is safe with us Dan! lol
  14. unless it's canceled, i'll be there rain or shine. my truck looks good wet
  15. i feel bad for whoever had to clean that mess up
  16. the only way a dealer can tell if you have a custom pcm calibration installed is if you show up there with the tuned pcm in it. if you put the stock one back in there is no way to tell, since our software would only read that pcm's calibration. dealers are paying more attention to programing mods, especially on diesel engines. plus, if you had a complaint or a problem that required the pcm software to be updated by the dealer, it would write right over your tuned program, basically erasing it, another reason to leave the tuned pcm out when it goes to the dealer.
  17. i worked for my dad for 2yrs, so i can relate . and in 2 weeks i'll be going out on my own, no more dealership after 10yrs. so i too am excited/nervous about what the near future holds. chin up, i'm sure good things will come.
  18. thanks for the input guys! pics don't do it justice, looks amazing in the sun.
  19. Chuck Norris doesn't do push-ups... he pushes down on the world.
  20. regardless what anyone says, old/new school, anytime an engine experiences a "cold start" it should run for at least 5 min. especially here in the noreast. i let mine idle till the inherant piston noise goes away, on a cold morning ( below 20 degrees) it takes at least 5 min.. keep in mind too that most engine wear occurs during cold start. running synthetic motor oil helps out too with extreme differences in heat. IMO edit: plus who wants to get into a cold truck? lol
  21. ya, south central ma. just below worcester. oh...! i get it... wicked good. lmao. heres a couple pics off my phone. hood hasnt been clear coated yet.
