  1. Thanks man, I'm all about the plug and play!

Not completely sure on the relay controller. I think it may be set up to kick the fans on either high or low depending on the temp. and temp settings. I know there is a provision to keep the pump and fans running after you turn the truck off so it cools off faster than if it were just sitting there. That setup would be sweet for a long day at the track.

  2. Haha yeah. I tried this with Justin's. I told him to look up Justin's build. That's exactly what I need, only 2800 Multi 10.5. But he's just gonna wing it. I'm sure he'll get it right this time.... I hope.

That's what mine is too 10.5" multi as tight as they could make it - mine flash stalls right at 3k on 11 psi. Good luck man, hope he gets it right this time

  3. Yeah... They probably don't like me very much right now. lol. I wouldn't be surprised if my next converter had a hand grenade in it. I'm stirring up all sorts of crap with jack right now. Lol!

But I mean, they should have this down by now... He's still not 100% sure what he's sending me is what I need.. I've dealt with Precision in the past and they've been phenomenal. If jack is the manager, I think he needs to stay off the sales floor and let his employees do their job. He's just screwing things up and making things more difficult.

That's hilarious...total dejavu, lol He pulled that exact same shit with me too! I gave him the part number for the 6 bolt GM flywheel and then he got it right...fits like a glove! You may want to tell him to just pull my build sheet (Randy Capone) so he is sure to get yours right. Assuming your TCI flywheel is the same specs as GM. Actually, he just shipped mine back today - sent it to him to have it cut and cleaned for the new tranny

  4. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Jack has been giving me the runaround this morning. Hes like "well I cant correct this without building an entirely new converter"... Im like, well, do what you gotta do cuz this POS isn't going to work. Lol. I told them they should have this down by now. Im not the first, nor will I be the last to order a converter for this application. I told them maybe they should make a note in their system for this application. Im the 4th person this has happened to, and that's just the people I know!!

If he gives me attitude, ill call and talk to the manager. I cant afford to buy another converter to fix their mistake. Hell, Justin ordered his and got this same converter the first time. And Vicky sent him the correct one 2nd day air, no questions asked... Why do I have to get stuck with the ****!

Not kidding, check it out http://www.silveradoss.com/forums/topic/85604-the-storm/page-11 Jack's the one who handled mine too, lol. I was so pissed because HE took my order and I even gave him the GM part number for my 6 bolt flywheel and he still sent me the 3 bolt! Oh yeah, Jack IS the Manager too  , lol I wanted to talk to the Mgr. too because it was such a blatant f-up I thought he may have even gotten my stall incorrect. Remember, I was swapping out my Circle-D because Chris had over shot my stall by like 1k, so I was already paranoid

  5.

I can understand all the spending getting scary Randy, (Especially if, Like me, you haven't always had it to spend), but I love to see a working dude like I've been my whole life, be successful enough to chase a dream like you are doing with your truck. 20 years from now you'll have some great memories of this process, and with luck still have an awesome one of a kind truck.

As long as you've got the basics covered, (rent / mortgage, health and chow), go for it.

Thanks for helping me reason with my insanity John...NOW, would you mind coming over and trying to do that with my 'ol lady, lol? I have worked very hard to get where I am today and this being my first high performance build, it's not only exciting but extremely addicting!

  6. Yeah, Mike's a good dude. I was out in Vegas last summer to play in the WSOP and I stopped by his shop to say hi and meet him. He is really busy so I would probably recommend giving him a heads up you're going to swing by. Tell him I said what's up!

  7. CUT IT OUT!!!!

    I'm getting jealous. :jester:

In all honesty, that pump is badass. That pump with that exchanger and those fans are an incredible set up. You'd never worry about IATs again.

Bro, WTF man - you were supposed to say something like, "don't do it", or "that's a waste of money"...now my CC's maxxed the F*** out because of you Brandon :idiot:

Seriously though, after doing research on the LPE's pump flow test here SC%20Pump%20Test.jpg

Then knowing how balls deep I'm already into this build and taking a look at my tiny heat exchanger here TransCoolerheatexchanger.jpg

It's almost a waste of money to upgrade the fuel system, re-plumb my whole system for the new Ice Box, slap on the smaller pulley, etc, etc, without making sure my IAT's are low enough so I can go faster, lol I SWEAR THIS IS THE LAST MOD I'M MAKING FOR AT LEAST A YEAR!

I'm hoping that monster exchanger will fit in front of my 40k since, not only would it save me time and headache of lowering it down into the bumper grille, but since those fans are feeders, I think it would help cool the trans cooler while sitting in traffic on a hot summer day.

  8. Good to see you made it here to the forum Felipe - welcome! Sounds like you're getting the ball rollin with the SS and have chosen a great tuner - Zippy knows these trucks better than anyone and will hook you up with an awesome tune. Just watch your bank account...they have been known to shrink considerably once you start modding! :help:

  9. More "uneventful" parts showing up for my trans swap, Flex Fuel Sensor and Ice Box plumbing

Homemade wire harness for the Flex Fuel Sensor

New Trans lines and -6 AN fittings

Ice Box plumbing - still waiting on 3/4" braided stainless lines

  10. After a week of searching on and off for the plug and pigtail that connect to the Flex Fuel Sensor (part # 12146121) + actually buying the connector (part # 12146121) online, which didn't come with the pigtail and basically rendered it useless, + 3 trips to the local Chevy dealer, the Chevy Parts guy finally decided to call GM because there was no listing in their book for what I needed. Oh yeah it only set me back $47.00  The plug AND pigtail needed for the Flex Fuel Sensor is....8898-7992!!!
