  1. Humm, that's a tough one. Did you consider mounting the Fluidyne where you moved the 40k to? I know you wouldn't be able to see the Fluidyne writing like you're wanting to, but that may be your best option with the port locations on that. The other thing I would suggest would be swapping out that flat aluminum bar to an aluminum angle...much better support when it's filled with fluid - that's what I'm using. Don't know if they have a Home Depot up by you, but they sell them.

I think I would look into having a shop hack off that barb and weld on an aluminum 90 tight to the cooler. Looks like you may have to move it out too much to attach to what you have there.

  2. I have a set of stock chrome ones in excellent condition with mounted and balanced OEM tires that have less than 2k miles on them. They were taken off of my truck which had around 30k original miles on it at the time. They've just been sitting in my Garage taking up space but not sure I would even want to sell them to be honest. If I did, it would have to be a damn good offer.

  3. lol, I got the gopro on standby too...vids coming soon! I bought a helmet mount and thinking of mounting mine on the right side of my helmet for a run or two, then probably on a fender...can't wait, lol

Zippy. I upgraded my HP Tuners to the pro version so I can log my wideband for him and he can get it dialed in as close to perfect as possible. Things get pretty serious with 15psi or more, hehe With the regular version I was having to tell him what the wideband read after each log I emailed him - total pain in the ass

  4. Yeah, I already called Injector Dynamics and confirmed their O-rings are e85 compatible. Kind of disappointed that Lonnie didn't say anything about the fuel rails being an issue and I had to find this out on my own. His website advertises a "complete" system and even shows a pic of the included fuel rails he uses...never got any kind of discount either for him not sending rails with mine :(

Yeah, the LPE exchanger I'm using will hopefully get installed soon too. I'm REALLY hoping my guy will have it buttoned up the weekend of the 14th so I can get that bisch to the track..I'm really jonzin to get that thing on the road

  5. My guy already has the trans back in. Right now we're waiting on a couple of those Goodridge AN fittings from Lonnie to finish up the fuel system...should be here by Tues. Freekin Wilwoods still haven't shipped either but they said next week :jerk:

I also was doing some research on e85 and found out from Magnuson that my fuel rails would be eaten alive by the fuel since they are not anodized. SO, I took them to a nearby anodizing shop and am having the rails made blue, TB spacer black and a couple of other small parts done.

  6. I think the one you made looks great...keep it!

I've seen countless FPRs mounted on the firewall. That's the perfect place for it. Maybe not right behind the engine like mine.... But
So where do they want it mounted? On the engine itself so I can expose it to lots of heat??? Weird...

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing...just about every non-pro engine bay I've seen has theirs mounted to the firewall.

If anything, I'll make a bracket to extend it off the firewall a bit.

I asked him where to mount it and he said down by the wheel well :puke:

  7. Got my FPR mounted behind the blower on the firewall. Only took like 2 hours. Haha. I didn't want it to be crooked or off center.

Finished the -8 line to the Y block. Need to mount it on the frame and run the dual -6 feeds to the rails. Gotta order more -6, so it'll be a few days before it's done.

Finished the return line from FPR to tank and got it routed. 3F0C8D74-6DD6-4AA4-A79B-1DE1DE1CBD24_zps

Some more pics... You can see all the ugly firewall scratches that need attention.

Think I'm going to tuck the return lines under the injectors like this... Keep it clean. 5C3AE4C2-504D-4AAE-BF60-AC6F7A683A51_zps

SO, I just got off the phone with Lonnie to ask where he got the AN fittings that came with my fuel system because the Russell fittings I bought won't grab onto the Teflon interior wall of the fuel lines he sent me :glare: Anyway, as we were talking, I somehow mentioned that my tech had mounted my regulator to the firewall and he told me that is against NHRA regulations...it has to be mounted a minimum of 6" away from the firewall...plus my tech has already cut the lines :fume:

  8. Thanks man, me an you both can't wait, lol. Yeah, I did that gear change because my last 60' was like 1.83 running the intros and 305/40/22's...takes a while longer to get the larger diameter wheels moving I guess.

I do have the IW pinning kit too, but the guy who did my cam, springs, pushrods, etc. actually installed it and I wasn't even there, so I can't help you out on how easy or hard it was. Sorry bro. I bet it will be a little tougher to re-pin yours for a second time though

  9. Hey Randy, Are you spraying meth?

No, and don't give me anymore ideas Jason :jester: If I spend anymore money on this truck this could be me tumbleweed.gif

    Nope. Just selling it

  10. Thanks Jason, yeah, I can't wait to get this baby buttoned up and to the drag strip!

Anyone want to take some guesses on the 1/4 mile time? I'm going to say 11.52

New mods / upgrades since the 12.00 are: ice box, LPE exchanger, 2.75 1st gear & 1.57 2nd, TPIS 102mm, 3.0 pulley (around 15psi) and e85 fuel system

  11. Excited to see how yours does on 15psi!

Me too man! I may even push the envelope to a little more than 15 :fart:

You know, I thought about running a smaller wheel and drag radials, but at the end of the day, I decided I wanted my truck to represent the exact same time it produced at the track when driving around town looking for a street race. Don't tell anyone, but once I made that decision, I upgraded my front Wilwoods to the 16" rotor too - which I'm still waiting on btw. I just hope my decision to lower the gears in my trans pays off

  12. My Maggie kit came with one Walbro 255 in tank pump to replace the stock pump. That pump with the ID 1000's got me to 11psi but was maxed out, hence the reason for the double pumper fuel system upgrade so I can add more boost :burnout:

  13. Randy, I don't mean to backtrack but when you mounted your ice box did you make it removeable?I have the same Dad's ice box and battery tray and I was trying to figure out how to mount the ice box like a battery so I could remove it if I have to but I just haven't gotten around to it yet.

No prob man. Yeah, mine is removable. Your Dad's Box should have two little square bars welded to the bottom of each side of the tank. He welded mine slightly above the bottom weld on the tank, so I had to dremel the top of the back bar to get it to slide under the stationary mount on the back of the battery tray. The other side is held down by the plastic block and bolt that's made to secure a regular battery (sold separately from Chevy).

Here you can see the front square bar he welded
