Any particular oil by amsoil? looking at their website they have several to pick from. and one problem with them is there is no one in my area that carries amsoil so id have to order it :\ im thinking i will stick to valvoline

Has anyone ever or currently using Valvoline VR-1 Racing or VR-1 Synthetic Racing oil in their SSS? Any other opinions on oil to use would be appreciated, not looking to spend an arm and a leg to change my oil, just wanted some insight. Thanks

i would but it sits level now and i like the look where it is...im actually considering another exhaust option that would tuck the mufflers up a little more

ill be gettin an x pipe welded up this week, i'll let yall know if it makes it sound any better. now my real concern with the exhaust is the mufflers are too low, you can see them below the frame rails!

Sounds mean as hell man, the cam and blower help with that sound too though im thinking about fabbing up my own x-pipe so i dont have to pay the shop 80 bucks for something that i can make myself and slap that on infront of the flows to see if it helps any. If not ill be in the market for a new muffler SOOON!

No one has an x-pipe layin around?? Is there anyone that could fab me up one using 2.5" pipe, not lookin to spend an arm and a leg. The local exhuast shop was way too proud of the ones they made in my opinion.

Id have to run 2 y-pipes, one infront of the muffler and one behind it to keep the dual tips out the side and for some reason all the shops around here charge an arm and a leg to do any little fab work. Got any sound clips?

ive looked into the aero turbine but id still have to go with 2 mufflers AND an x-pipe to balance everything which again is more $$$! I am curious as to what they sound like though.

Everyone always suggests magnaflow but from all the trucks that ive heard them on im realy not all that impressed :\ maybe its just me, i dont know. If im going to go with a magnaflow what would be the muffler of theirs to go with? i know i want something loud and deep, and most of the magnaflows ive heard lack in the loud part. Ive been looking into the DI/DO Hooker Aerochamber, its got the sound im looking for and would take away the need for an x-pipe because both pipes would be balancing out in the muffler.

haha, i know theres very few who like flowmasters and i guess im one of them. with the stock tailpipe and tip they sounded great but with this new setup they almost sound like a harley on steroids if that makes any sense. Im looking into either installing an x-pipe or going with a DI/DO muffler to even out the exhaust flow. and NO im not going to go back with flowmaster

Went to the muffler shop today to get some dual tips welded up before my back tire, love the way it looks but for some reason the sound isnt quite what i was going for... At idle it sounds like its trying to suck in air on one of the pipes and when you hit the throttle it sounds like an old redneck truck with no mufflers. Im running stock manifolds and cats with 2 flowmaster 10 series single chambers to the tips before the tire. Im thinking it might be because im running 2 mufflers with no balance pipe or because theyre single chamber mufflers and with the setup ive got now they just dont sound right. Anyone have any opinions or ideas on how to get a better sound out of them? Thanks, Zach
