  2. i have a 04 for sale for 22,000. its in great condition. il send you pics if your interested. oh and im from georgia
  3. so theres nothing wrong with the heads that are complete? and do you know how many miles are on them? Thanks
  4. I can drop a few thousand into if i have to but i didn't really want to spend that much if i didn't have to. I never tow anything but i would like to be able to if the time ever came. as far as cams i would like it to sound pretty stock with very little lope if any What about the ls6 cam? just a thought. i would like to stay NA but could go with a radix if it was the cheaper route. i heard they make great low rpm torque and thats what im looking for
  5. Thanks for the advice. I have a few thousand i can put into my ss but im also trying to rebuild my 92 Silverado with a carb 6.0 or something. It was my first truck and im tired of seeing it just set since iv got my new truck so i didn't really want to put it all in the ss but that radix would be awsome. My minds going crazy right now. sometimes i wish i wasn't so addicted to going fast
  6. congrates. hope i get there one day
  7. Maybe i need to go a different direction? My friend kyle has a rcsb silvy with a 4.8 with the tr220 220 cam Lt Trailblazer stall a 4.56s and her ran a 14.1. I know 3 tenths is 3 tenths but now its looking like its gonna be a lot harder to out run him than i thought..
  8. Yes me and Blue4.8 over on performance trucks will be doing the work. the heads i was looking at on ebay have already ended but theres plenty more out there and i just like the price of them. Iv heard comp has started making cams just for the L92s. The only thing i dont like about them is the loss in low rpm torque. And iv been looking at the yank 3000. That wouldn't be to much for everyday driving would it?
  9. lol no those are 26s but i have the factory 20s back on there now. i was just looking at the cam section zippy did. i found this one that seems about right XER273HR...224/230 .581/.591 114LSA Very similar power band to the XR281HR, except with a better idle and better drivability. I would not recomend this for anything smaller than a 6.0L either. Recomended to run a shorty or long tube header. Larger injectors will be needed. I'd recomend a 2600 to 3000 stall for this cam. If it is well tuned in the idle is lopey, but not unacceptable for a daily driver. This cam will also work ok with L92 style cylinder heads. It happens to be one of the cams that Livernois has chosen for it's L92 package. Will work nicely with nitrous or a blower. MP122 or bigger for Magnacharger or D1SC for Procharger. Recomended springs would be 918's or 921's.
  10. how did that cam sound? seems like about what im looking for
  11. ya they are. took them off thought have the stock back on it
  12. Exactly what im looking for. Thats why i was asking about the L92s. I want it to look and sound stock but be a beast off the line. My buddy over on performance trucks Blue4.8 put the Tr220 220 114 in his truck. You couldnt really tell he even had a cam until he cut the cats off. now it counts them off.
  13. Iv been thinking about a cam but i just dont want the thumping on my everyday driver. I know theres cams with less duration and wider lobe separation that dont thump but do they make as much power?
  14. I would like to get into the mid to high 8s on motor. Sorry no quarter mile around here.
  15. Iv been thinking about doing this same thing to my truck. my dad did it to his 70 Chevelle a few years ago. he ran two 5in air ducts from this inner grille lights straight to the air cleaner and picked up a tenth in the 8th for about $15 lol
  16. I found a L92 intake and heads on ebay earlier. anybody know if its worth the money and how hard would it be to convert. I think the intake bolts may be different but im sure theres someone on here that can let me know what all i need.
  17. It looks like it may be the L92 intake. in that case you would have to change the heads too since there square port not the cathedral port
  18. Ya im looking at the pacesetters. seems like the best deal
  19. thanks, I think im gonna do the 160 thermostat. it seems simple. Thats about the gain i was hoping for just trying to get around a 9.0 then go from there.
  20. I ran my 04 ss back in march completely stock except for the k&n intake kit no tune or anything. It was about 70 degrees. quickest time was a 9.61 im sure it helped being awd to but i cant wait to see what it does with just a good tune.
  21. Must be nice ha. But cant wait to see how it runs
  22. ok im going to go get a tune in the next month or so for my 04 ss. its completely stock except for a new k&n intake. Im just wanting to know what would be the next best thing for me to do to it before i go spend the money on a tune. Im not talking about forced induction or anything just basic bolt on parts. and we dont have any 1/4 mile tracks around here so if i ran a 9.6 stock in the 1/8 how much do yall think it will pick up after the tune? Thanks
  23. ok. how much will it cost you to ship to 31525 Brunswick Georgia
