  1. I foumd out how to check and its unlocked. What sucks is that that's not my vin on the pcm and I don't want to lock the license to that vin. I am asking over at efi live to see if they can help. If not I guess I am just going to go to someone at a dyno shop and pay to get it retuned and the program working.
  2. Its not any of the previous owners vins because I can see the vins that he had. I was emailing with justin back and forth and he said it might be the vin from the previous owner that he reprogramed. He said it shouldn't has a bearing on my problem though. He said I can reflash my vin into it. I don't want to do anything until I get my tune saved just incase something happens.
  3. yes its used with 1 license left.
  4. I am tring to save the tune just incase. I was emailing back and forth with him but noting. Acually I got it to connect, but now it doesnt read it. Goes through the process of starting to read but when it says reading nothing is happening. I waited like 10-15 mins and tried it a couple of times.
  5. I got a EFI Live v1 and when I go to read the PCM info it gives me a different vin (not mines). Justin (Blackbear Tune) did my tune. Also when I try to read the current tune it doesnt. While locking at the process of what the EFI Live is doing it says try to unlock PCM. Does Justin lock the PCMs? And why do I have a different vin on my PCM? Shouldnt it be mines.
  6. Mr.P, the C5 pan doesnt come down any futher than our pans does it. I just want to make sure because for some reason I think that the bigger cross pipe I am running doesnt let me install a aftermarket deep pan. Thanks
  7. Ok, so this weekend I treated my truck to a full maintaince service. Oli and filter, trans. oil and filter, diff. oil, spark plugs and wire, and radiator flush. I decided to add a drain plug for the tranny pan and so I did, only thing is I fugged it up. Had to drop the pan and weld the hole and put the plug else where. Anyway I dont want to have that welded so I need a new tranny pan. My brother had a Hughes deep alum. pan but was to deep and was going to hit my exhaust cross over pipe, why i dont know you figure that they would take into account bigger pipes. Anyways I was thinking of going with of the C5 tranny pan but dont want to run into the same problem or another alum. pan. I need advice as to what to get and why didnt the Hughes pan fit and will this be a problem with all deep pans.
  8. I don't want to go crazy with it. I don't really care for a dropped truck. I am looking to close the gap some not all the way.
  9. Ok so bought Supercharged06ss (Robbie) Intro rims. Now I want to lower the truck to bridge the gap between. I was reading Mr.Ps sticky and read that with a 2" drop in the back I will have driveline angle problems, has this been a problem for you guys running a 2" rear drop. Also what spindles do you guys recommend or kits.
  10. You could go to hidplanet.com or ebay and see the going prices. I think the going rate is about 250-300 for for the pair of projectors, ballasts, and bulbs. I think 250 each is kind of steep unless the housing where perfect.
  11. I saw his rims they are awesome but out of my price range.
  12. I found these, what do you think.
  13. I have up to 1500 to spend and I know what you mean about little money and good rims. I like the Boss 330 in 22s w/Kuhmo Ecsta and Ican get them for 1300 out the door. Only thing is that they are 45 pounds and the Kuhmos are 47 pounds. So it will acually be heavier than my stock ss rims w/goodyear ls2. Abuddy of mines bought some rims (china rims) and the chrome pilled of it about 1 1/2 years time. I dont want the same to happen to me.
  14. Yeah I checked out centerline but I didnt really like anything. I also plan on going with a black w/chrome lip rim.
  15. I am looking into buying some rims. I know Boss is made in the u.s. and haven't found any coplaints from them. On the other hand I heard complaints about KMC, another rim I was looking at. What rim manuf. do you guys recommend with out spending a fortune. I've looked at acouple of other manuf. but I cannt spend 300-500 dollars a rim. Also I am tring to lower my overall weight of the wheel and tire package and going 22in.
  16. What do you think is the going rate for near perfect chrome ss rims with fairly good tires? I am wondering because I want to see how much I can get for them to fund my next set of rims. I told a guy at work I was thinking of mabey 600.
  17. I guess just flush it out with tap water and don't worry about and radiator flush chemicals. I will take out the storage tank and clean it out. Should I leave it at the 50/50 mixture. I don't have to worry about it freezing down here in miami. Also now that it was mentioned here I am running pure distied water with water wetter in the maggie, should that be a corotion concern or not.
  18. My radiator storage tank in getting a black substance in it, the coolant is still the same color so its not affecting the coolant (I think). Anyways I already flushed it back in Aug. and used Dex-Cool with tap water(I think thats the cause for the black subtance). Anyways do you guys recommend doing a radiator flush with something from the auto parts store or just flush and refill with Dex-Cool and non-tap water.
  19. I was wondering if there is a diff. in the calipers compared to the oem pbr?
  20. So the kit is no longer complete. I was just looking for a complete kit.
  21. Rim 1 Boss 330 22-9 45# Rim 2 Boss 313 22-9.5 38.5#
  22. I know its not wide but it is wider than the stock SS rims. I am fine with the width of the stock tires and the the ones I am looking at are almost 1in wider than stock.
  23. I am looking into buying some rims and and was wondering about the offset. The ones I like have a 32 offset. it there a limit as to the offset be it positive or negative. I want it to have a lip if that helps. Also the rim I am looking at is a 22-9 so what do you guys think of 285/45/22 for the tires.
  24. Are they making a shift kit for the new 6 speed trannies. A buddy of mine at work just bought a 09 silverado and it has the 6 speed. He was looking for a shift kit but can't find one.
  25. Thanks guys. I found it, I couldnt go to bed without at least tring to find it so i drop the head board some and found the leak. There is a drain pan on the back side of the sunroof that attaches to the bottom drain pan. Where the attachments are I guess cracked some and water was leaking on to the liner and to the side where i found the water. I put some 3M 5200 marine silicone where the top drain pan clips come through the bottom drain pan for now. Hopefully it will work out good because it looks like a pain to disassemble that $h!t. Not a good design to have clips going through a drain pan.
